Easy to read, good to have questions to ask. The vocabulary is helpful.

These are useful texts to improve reading for adult learners. The first chapter seems rather basic, but after that the stories improve, with more complexity very gradually introduced. Adult learners with limited English seem to have little provision other than using basic children's books, whose subjects are not really appropriate for the adults' age. This book is a welcome addition to the resources available.

I use this book with my Japanese students learning English, and found it's easier for them to understand the stories. Other resources in the book also help with students studies.

These stories are well written and short. They test the student's comprehension with questions at the end of each chapter.
