Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation (Light Novel) Vol. 1

I fell in love with the anime, and started reading with some trepidation, hoping that the books would be as good if not better. I wasn't disappointed. While I can't speak to the quality of, or in comparison to, the original Japanese (though I plan to try) I think this is going to be an expensive but enjoyable journey. To anyone put off about the references to some of the shadier parts of Japanese culture, male or just human behviour; I would point out that this is very much about redemption, second chances, and an observation that no one is perfect and we are all a work in progress. With that in mind. Enjoy!

I brought the first book a while ago probably January of 2023 but as I was building my collection and started getting more into the light novel I tried getting my mate into it so I gave it to him and now had to buy another one. This one was amazing and looks perfect with all the others.

For the first time in a generation japanime managed to produce an instant classic. Bind, inspired by what inspired isekai, gathered the talent of the anime industry and worked toward adapting the novel series with great effort, inspiring the animation industry to do the same with other adaptions. Look to the novel that began it all and your time shall not be wasted.

I have to admit, while I enjoyed this book, I don't believe I'd have enjoyed it as much without having seen the first few episodes of the anime. The story does add a lot of missing bits to the anime, increasing the depth of the characters and world, and it's a fun ride overall, but without the anime I can't imagine I'd have got past the first few pages, reading about the main character "spanking it to uncensored loli porn". Overall though, the story is great, especially the family dynamics and how you feel for everyone.

It takes its time to build the world and explain why things are the way they are, taking views from side characters adds a lot of depth. Would recommend, a good start to the series.

My son was really happy how quick it arrived he loves there's books just waiting for 2 more if your going to buy books this is the place

Was a fairly interesting idea, unfortunately the story's progression is a little slow so I'm probably going to have read the next book in this series to see if I will continue reading it. But I really enjoyed the fact that the MC was super talented after being reborn but still considered themself barely adequate and continued to strive to be better rather than resting on their laurels
