A nice cheap oud
This is a nice low cost way to get involved into some oud. I am not educated about oud in person but I know a lot about it from studying perfumery - so I can say the price is low, I assume the quality matches and it has a good smell! The chips are a good size for burning/heating and I think the amount you get for the price is a good value. Great place to start!

Seems to appeal differently to many of us...so interesting.
I am new to Agarwood and my interest was piqued as I have done my research on it since ordering. I love incense and experimenting with different types and methods of burning. When opening this canister I was able smell a light earthy scent, unlike others who say it is quite noticeable without burning. My 3rd bout of COVID in June changed my senses of taste and smell unfortunately. Once I lit a piece of the wood much like I would palo santo, the earthy scent became warmer, and I could sense a light sweet scent to it as well. I would say that for me this is a very light scent that feels warm and comforting, and a bit happy. The wood pieces themselves are about 1 1/2" - 2" for the most part and burn for a decent time. Due to my sense being skewed, I would like to find an incense burner as suggested to see if it appeals differently to my senses.

Chunks of wood that smell nice for a moment.
Uh wasnt sure what to expect with this one. It does have a lovely natrual spicy smell. The cubits of wood have random holes drilled into them to baby them up. Not a very strong smell.

A Beautiful Alternative to Palo Santo
I've been a longtime fan of Palo Santo wood and burn it on a regular basis. When I discovered this agarwood, I thought I'd give it a try, and I'm so glad I did—it smells absolutely amazing. I use a little torch lighter to heat a piece up until it's good and smoking. The scent is awesome and a really nice change from Palo Santo. I even have a piece on a burn tray in my bathroom to keep it smelling pleasant, and I'll light a piece in my living room every once in a while for aromatherapy. I still love Palo Santo, but this is a wonderful new addition to my routine. I would highly recommend ordering some to give it a try—you just might love it.

Nice aroma
Nice little jar wit one large and a few smaller pieces of strongly aromatic agarwood. I tried burning it as recommended, but found that just heating it was sufficient and cleaner-smelling.

Smells comforting.
This is the first time I have bought agar wood incense and am really pleased with the scent. I have the chunks laying out near my dinner table, and they smell amazing when unlit. While lit, it still smells great and comforting, but can sometimes feel too strong. I enjoy the lighter fragrance they give off when just sitting out.

Not sure what this is but it stinks like bad body odor
First of all, I have a lot of very high quality incense, all of it is pure all natural no artificial fragrance added. I have both very expensive incense and I have less expensive incense, but all of it is 100% natural and made from high quality ingredients. I have a lot of agarwood and Sandalwood as the base wood for many of my different form factors of incense. When I saw this one come available and it was claiming to be solid agarwood which I know can be quite expensive, I thought I would give it a try. First of all it comes in a very cheap flimsy plastic container, with a poorly fitted lid which already sets the tone that this is not a high quality ingredient. In my little mostly empty plastic container, I received four small pieces of what looks like some kind of wood bark with holes drilled through them. Presumably the holes are drilled so that they can soak these chunks of wood in some kind of oil which is the first thing that burns off when you light them and it gives off a very dark black smoke and leaves an oily residue on the wood chips. If you try to light them again all of that external oil then completely Burns off so you can't get them to light again. Supposedly you put these on an electric burner and keep them at a constant temperature so they give off their fragrance gradually, but I couldn't get that method to work nor the lighting method like burning Palo Santo method to work. I haven't tried burning them on a charcoal incense briquette because they're such a big chunks and they don't break into smaller pieces. I saw some reviewers say that they were able to break theirs but mine are so hard it's like petrified wood almost. And I don't know what they soaked these wood chips in but when you open up the jar it literally stinks like really bad body odor. I don't know how anybody could think this smells good. And like I said I do have a lot of agarwood genuine incense so I know what it should smell like. And this is not it. At the current price point of $35 for these four little chunks of wood, I definitely do not recommend this product. There are plenty of amazing genuine agarwood incense sellers on Amazon, many of them much less expensive than this stinky petrified wood product, so I would keep looking.

Seems lower quality.
I’m always a bit suspicious of anything like this that comes in a plastic jar and has virtually nothing printed on its label. No instructions, which is unfortunate considering this style of incense will be new to a lot of people state side. The overall quality seems low, and unlikely to be 100% natural. It’s burn time will be greatly affected by the manner you pick to do it. Electric burners will give you the longest burn time. The scent is subtle and balsamic. Each piece in my jar is about 1 1/2” long. There are holes all over each piece and they look and feel like they have been Impregnated with oil of some kind. Over all I would not consider this a good value for what it is.
