TP-Link TL-WPA4220KIT 300Mbps AV500 WiFi Powerline Extender Start Kit

The unit installed very easily. I was able to use the ethernet port immediately after plugging in and pressing the pair buttons. I did have problems with the software download from their web site. First, I was unable to get the download to work until the fourth or fifth try and then the app doesn't complete on my laptop. I'll be calling tech support to get it working. The software allows repeating of the wifi signal with or without a separate wifi login. This was not the primary reason for buying the unit but I'm on DSL and have problems watching some Amazon Prime and Netflix movies and thought this might help since the unit is installed right next to my TV. We'll see. The ability to create another physical ethernet port was the objective and the unit did that well.

Plugged tin, copied the pass work and bingo, it worked fine!

The main hub stopped turning on approximately 7 months after purchasing. Customer support is very helpful and is helping me acquire a new one now

The specifications indicate an electrical range of 300 meters. I tried to use the kit to connect with my pole barn which is about 170 meters outlet to outlet, but could not make a good connection. I contacted customer support and they indicated that 300 meters is under ideal laboratory conditions and that the realistic range is actually only 100 meters.

Simple to install : Plug it in and you are done ! Fast : 500 Megabit/second is great for HD streaming. Tiny : Compact size you barely notice is there

The instructions were hard too follow. It did not work well.
