Impressive responsiveness and image quality!
I'm so happy with this dash cam, easy 5 stars! Set up and installation was fairly easy, there's plenty of videos out there if you need help. The wiring just tucks up into the head liner and you plug in to your 12V accessory port, or the OBD port like I did for continuous power even when the car is off. I love that this package comes with an OBD adapter, many other dash cams don't! The screen size is bigger than a typical rear view mirror, but not obtrusive. Very responsive with no lagging. Just set up how you want it, then you literally don't need to touch it, it just works! You can have the digital display on all the time, or not at all. Mine is set to turn the display off after 1 minute of driving. But when the rear is fully loaded and I can't see out the mirror, I use the rear camera display so I can see despite all the cargo. In today's world, everyone should have a dash cam. With the super high resolution and continual recording, including footage lock capability, impact sensors, safety alerts, and night time security mode, you can rest assured that you'll have the footage you need for a police report, insurance claim, or even for your own. You can record audio, or turn it off if you want. Easily download the footage wirelessly, or with the included microSD card. I'm impressed with the night resolution, both front and rear, and the quality of the time lapse security footage. Even at night in the rain, the images were fairly clear. I had one minor issue with the rear image reversing itself at every start up. I contacted customer support and got an immediate response with an immediate software fix. I downloaded the update and installed it on the microSD card using a Chromebook (doesn't work on Mac). Now it's all set up exactly how I want it! Overall, this is a top buy, easily 5 stars. Very impressed with the quality of the hardware, the responsiveness of the display, the resolution of both cameras, and low light image quality. I can verify that this works in sub-zero temperatures with no problems!

Very nice unit. Low price, great features, exceptional video clarity.
Pleasantly surprised with this product, Pelsee P12 Pro Max. Initially purchased just for a backup camera on my 2001 Toyota Tundra. Both front and rear cameras are very clear, and especially at night. Got a lot of extras as the kit comes with a GPS antenna which enables the following safety features: Lane Departure, Forward Collision Warning, Front Vehicle Start Alerts, and Maintain Safe Distance. Voice commands are a great feature. Putting vehicle in reverse, the rear camera quickly comes on with helpful grid lines to help guide you. I had professional install from Best Buy on 1/6/26. Used Hardwire Kit, not OBD (thus avoiding possible OBD error code issues at vehicle servicing). Using Hardwire Kit also enables 24 hour Parking Monitor and low voltage monitoring, with 128GB SD Card for extended recording. The cost was well below other rearview camera options. Easy to navigate and adjust settings directly from the rearview mirror. Includes WiFi connection for additional features and downloads directly to your phone. Highly recommend this unit. Enjoy. :-) Note: for installation of backup camera, you will likely need to separately purchase a license plate mounting bracket for the camera. The rear camera cable length is 33' which worked perfectly for my extended cab with 6' bed. Many units only come with 24' cable.

Perfect after a firmware update
Great dash cam. Box contained everything I needed, I believe. I opted to have the dashcam professionally installed into my 2010 Toyota Prius with hardwiring because the manual contains a warning that the included OBD hardwire kit would not be suitable for hybrid vehicles. I did need to buy this as a separate Pelsee kit, but was reimbursed once I reached out to customer support (since the manual said to reach out to them for this kit). Video quality is excellent during the day and at night, but admittedly not the rear view camera is not great in the rain. However, I opted to have my rear dash cam installed outside, so it of course got rained on. Maybe I need to install some sort of covering on it. Outside of that - it is very high quality and license plate numbers are easily recorded in the front and back cameras. When I first installed the dash cam, I had issues with the device rebooting and hearing static noises like audio being cut off. After troubleshooting with Shealyn in customer service, we were able to resolve the issue completely with a firmware update. This meant wiping the SD card using the camera (or app, as apparently is an option, but not the one I took), and dragging in a file onto the card with a computer. Strangely enough, the card was not readable on my MacOS laptop, so I had to use my Linux desktop instead. I'm uncertain if using a phone with suitable adapter or Windows works, but just a heads up. I don't see why Windows wouldn't work, but the MacOS not being able to read the card after properly reformatting it was strange. I love the ADAS features - it's really great for the rear view collision warnings that are early enough to react to. There is an option to warn if the car in front of you has moved, but I found more often than not that I've already started driving when it alerts me. I've heard the lane drift warning only a couple times but that was also genuinely helpful. Customer service was great. Thank you Shealyn for sticking with me to figure out the firmware issue. In terms of value, I think it's worth the $250 I spent for it. 2010 Priuses didn't have any of the features. I bought it initially for the backup camera and would have been satisfied paying $250 just for that, but ended up getting everything else as a bonus.

I’m honestly very impressed. The Sony lens really lives up to its reputation — the video quality is super clear both during the day and at night. License plates and road details are easy to see, which is exactly what you want from a high-end dash cam. This isn’t just a basic recorder either. It comes with a lot of useful smart features. One of my favorites is the ADAS lane departure warning. This is usually something you only get in newer cars, but my car is a 2016 model and doesn’t have any of those safety features. With this dash cam installed, it honestly feels like I added a small tech upgrade package to my old car. The OBD hardwire connection is also a nice bonus. It’s a newer and more convenient solution compared to traditional hardwiring that goes directly to the car battery. Installation was much easier and cleaner than what I’ve dealt with before. After long periods of use, the unit does get a bit warm, but nothing concerning — it doesn’t affect performance or stability at all.

So I got this dash cam more than one month ago, mainly was cause my old one died and I was tired of not knowing what's going on behind me, especially at night. I drive for work (not a full-time Uber driver or anything lol, just lots of deliveries) and it gets stressful sometimes. Decided to try this one after seeing the night vision thing and the 4K recording on front cam. Thought it was a bit expensive at first, but man, it's worth it. Install was okay-ish. I'm not good with wires, so routing the rear cam cable took me a good hour (I'm slow lol), but once it was up it felt like magic. The screen is super clear, especially at night, like, not even exag-gerating. It doesn't just turn black and white in the dark like my old cam. It's full-color, which helps me see better in parking lots when I'm tired. The ADAS thing was new to me. I didn't think I'd care for voice alerts, but now I can't go without it. It beeped when I started drifting out of my lane once when I was sleepy. Legit might've saved me from something worse. Oh, and I didn't even realize it has dual WiFi, 5.8GHz. Video download is actually fast. Before I always had to take out the SD card and stick it in my laptop. Now I just open the Pelsee app and it's there. Feels like my car's smarter now. Not saying it's life-changing, but I feel safer, and that matters a lot. Would buy again for sure. Might even get one for my cousin who just got her license.

I have purchased the Pelsee 4k+2.5k mirror dash cam on Oct 6, 2025. It was an upgrade from the first 4k that I bought 2 years ago. The video was clear and natural. I usually use it as a rearview mirror. But came December when temp dip to freezing and the dashcam acted strange. Everyime I start the car, the dashcam starts but freezes afterwards. It will freeze several times in a span of 20 mins. In those times, I was missing some important info on what was happened. I contacted Pelse through their site and they give me an upgrade and instructions on how to upload the firmware. I followed the instruction and did able to load the update to the dashcam. 2 updates were given to me and loaded to my equipment. 1 was for the freezing issue and the other to control the view for the rear camera. Everything worked fine after the update. Thanks to the response I got from Pelsee especially to Kaycee who stayed with me all those times.

This mirror dash cam exceeded my expectations. The video quality is excellent day and night, and the touchscreen is very responsive. Installation was simple, and the rearview display makes driving much safer. Highly recommended for anyone looking to upgrade their car’s safety features!

I am so happy with the Pelsee Mirror Dash Cam. Excellent video quality, easy to use, no clutter with a separate camera mounted on the windshield, and now I have a mirror that can switch between mirror or monitor just by speaking a few words. Although I can use a Phone App to access videos and other features, I love being able to review videos directly on the mirror. Pelsee Support is beyond amazing. I could not believe how promptly my questions were answered. Thank-you Kaycee. You deserve an award for the best tech support I have ever received.
