Minileds, yeah right
Didn't want to write a review unless I've used this Baby. Minileds are a shocker, great color, bright, no halo effect so far. Great size for a bedroom just tone the brightness down. The internal speakers are the best brand I've heard in all my past tvs( LG and Samsung). TCL really needs to improve the operating system: it's really slow, sometimes it will freeze just choosing an app to play. For a Google TV it should be faster with cleaner responses. TCL has finally made an upper tier TV, and built for gaming a double plus. The remote feels like metal, sturdy easy to use, my wife wants her own. It's a great TV my eyes are doing their best to adjust to newer visual technologies, especially 4k and HDR videos, WOW. So many different settings to choose from sound, video, screen quality, etc. Great TV

Best Quality TV Money Can Buy
The TCL 65-Inch Class QM8K Series QD-Mini LED is an impressive TV that delivers on almost every front. Motion quality is smooth and consistent, making fast-paced sports and action movies easy to enjoy without blur. The picture is outstanding—clear, bright, and crisp with excellent color depth that makes everything pop. Setup was quick and straightforward, and once up and running, the TV performs flawlessly with virtually no lag, whether streaming, gaming, or just navigating menus. The only drawback is the remote, which seems to burn through batteries much faster than expected. It’s a small inconvenience compared to the overall performance of the TV, but worth noting. Overall, this TCL QM8K is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for premium functionality and picture quality at a competitive price point.

GREAT TV! Highly recommend !
Purchased TCL QM8 65 in November and it took several weeks before it was delivered ! Was well worth the wait! Very impressed with the picture! The colors pop and picture brightness is incredible ! I was a little disppointed in the Bang&Olufsen sound system ! I would recommend a sound bar and subwoofer! I paid $897 but now there $1495! Not sure why to hugh price increase ! Was a big Sony fan but TCL is my brand right now! TCL get your prices right and you will have me as a customer for a long time! It is a great tv for under $1000!

Great device with room to improve in OS
I have been using the TV for 2 weeks. The screen is great: super light in the daytime, looks great too at night HDMI is a little buggy. The CEC control didn't work for some unknown reason, so I fixed it using the instructions in reddit, but I'm not sure whether the issue will come back in the future. "Audio Output" shortcut is implemented badly. It doesn't list all paired Bluetooth devices for user to select, but lists "Bluetooth" for which you don't know which headphone/earbuds are being used, and "Auto" option in Audio Output is not really automatically switching to active devices (e.g., when you open your TWS earbuds case. You still need to select Bluetooth" to switch from TV speaker/Receiver to it). I see from this bad implementation that TCL still has a long way to customize its OS for the best user experience. Worth the Upgrade!
I don’t usually write reviews but this TV is stunning for the price. It’s bright enough during the day, and the picture rivals an OLED at night. The remote backlight is helpful, and UI is a lot faster than the previous google models. I think what made me write this review is the sound. I had a sound bar, but my family is kinda lazy and hates having two remotes. The first night with this TV, I played some Jurassic world and the growls had noticeable bass, better than any TV I’ve ever had. I did a ton of research, and I was going to get the QM7K but this one was on sale for only about $100 more. I think it’s worth the extra price. Don’t hesitate to order, it’s worth it!

98" is just too heavy to manage warranty issues
Alas, i got one of the many panels that burn out the driver boards and spent 2 weeks so far in warranty slog... background: Worked for one week and was quite impressive picture and sound for a TV (still really should have home theater speakers though). Then the backlight failed. It is very heavy, only take the risk if it is an 'easy' first floor location, else movers are likely needed to safely move it. Service action at the house recovered the backlight for about 10 minutes, then failed again. Now waiting on the next level of support to respond. Trying to return it now. Very polite and easy to reach TCL front line agents, but no direct access to the decision makers. Lots of requests for pictures and videos and then invoice. Stalling tactic or poor process? Getting a lot of run around and my return timeline is running out. Amazon site indicate I need the original box, but installer took the box and they don't have it anymore due to its size. TCL says, " There is no need to return the unit to our facility, so not having the original box will not be an issue.", but have not provided a path to initiate the refund. Not sure if it just means it is my problem to properly dispose of the e-waste. Net net - TCL quality isn't ready for primetime and if given the size and weight - it is just much more worth it go the projector route for a home theater dark room, and stay at 85" or below for regular rooms..

High quality resolution! Great sound!
I had a very difficult time getting the settings for the picture satisfactory. Finally, with the help of Chat GPT, I was able to get the settings perfect. It took me a week to finally get it right and when I did it was almost exactly the default settings for the TV. This is an outstanding television! I am finally so glad I bought it that there are no more words! The sound is indistinguishable from my $250 Amazon Fire Sound Bar. Thank you Jesus!
