Dakin's Solution is what our wound care physician recommended for a pressure sore that was not healing. You don't get overnight results, but this product is beneficial in helping the wound to stay clean while the tissue regenerates. It does not dry out the fragile tissue like alcohol or hydrogen peroxide would. In regard to the packaging, there is a seal under the lid that I did not remove: I only poked two tiny holes in the seal to allow me to squirt just small amounts of the liquid into the gauze tray we use to wet the wound-packing gauze. This action (minimally puncturing the seal) has prevented the liquid from accidentally spilling more than once! You only use a little so it lasts a long time.

Bought for open wound cleaning as per wound care doctor. It worked very well for the intended use. Check with a wound care specialist before using but it will likely be recommended depending on the type of wound you are treating.

Great stuff but concidering what it is its way over priced guys you should be able to get 2 gallons not 2 pints its only 1/4bleach baking soda and water for 2 pints 😬🙄🤷come on folks 40 bucks this sould be under 10 dollars for both
