Used the key & shell with the electronic guts of the original key. Looks grat. It's a cheap way to update an old fob. It's solid built & works perfectly.

Worked perfect. Only challenge was finding someone willing to cut the blank. But after that was super easy to program and works perfect. Saved 400.00 from dealer!

Cut well and programmed well to my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. All functions work.

I was worried that this would be a cheap knockoff, becaus e of the super-low price. I almost went to the dealer for a replacement key. It was exactly as advertised, and saved me a lot of money. Sometimes it isn't too good to be true. This was one of them.

Needed a set of new keys for a 2016 Jeep Wrangler due to worn out buttons. Original key had normal lock/unlock/panic buttons, but also had remote start function. These keys state compatible with remote start. However they are NOT the same key as original as the internal chip set is different. OEM key had a -EE at the end of the chip model number whereas these aftermarket keys did have the same model but did not have the -EE. Locksmith could not get the remote start function to work. They got the basic lock/unlock/panic button to work. Remote start was not important for me so not a huge deal. Over good quality and function for what I wanted minimum, good price and about $85 to have locksmith cut and program both keys.

Learn from MY MISTAKE! I purchased this item thinking that I could program it myself and have an extra key fob. WRONG! I only had 1 key - not both keys that comes from the dealership! The product itself is GREAT, but it wasn't clear that you couldn't just do it yourself. My scan tool wasn't smart enough (and clearly neither was I). Instead, it would cost BIG MONEY to have it done by the dealership or a professional locksmith. The material is good quality. It may be plastic but it's durable. The remote works very well from a good range of 50-75 foot distance. You can't beat the price! BUT, the ease of programming was the issue; hence the 4-stars. I ended up getting the package that included the programmer. Great value for the money and a solid product that I now have 3 remotes for my Wrangler as the programmer comes with 2. (Over kill!) Wish I would have known that before I purchased this one! Ohhhh, one good point to make. You have to have this cut by a "key professional" before use. Go to the hardware store where they cut keys. It's a quick $2 cut.

I went to get a 2016 Jeep Patriot car key cut and programmed. The car locksmith cut the key and programs the fob, but it didn’t work. He put a new battery in the fob to see if that would help. It didn’t work and he said it was defective.
