I picked this up on sale and I’ve been using it for a few days now. Really impressed so far. I bought the 16” 2K (2560×1600) 120Hz version, but when I hook it up to my laptop it actually refreshes up to 144Hz. I use two USB-C to USB-C cables: one connects the monitor to my laptop for display, and the second goes to a power brick. With that setup, everything works perfectly. I’m pairing it with a Lenovo LOQ gaming laptop (Ryzen 7, RTX 4050), and the picture is smooth, bright, and has no flickering or ghosting. Colors look good, the screen wakes right up when plugged in, and it’s been great for gaming and general multitasking. No complaints so far. If anything changes, I’ll update later, but right now it feels like one of the better portable monitors for the price, especially if you catch it on sale.

Great additional monitor for any setup. The screen is very bright and sharp, and the magnetic case/stand is wonderful. It is very apparent based on other reviews and the included instructions that this manufacturer takes customer service extremely seriously, and I appreciate that. For the normal price, and especially when it is discounted, this is a top notch portable and/or supplemental monitor.

Functionality and Design The Upperizon Portable Monitor is exceptionally functional and practical to use. In my experience, I only require a single USB-C cable to connect it, and it instantly powers up as a second display for my laptop. The build quality feels very solid, the color reproduction is good, and the brightness is perfectly adequate for use in environments with moderate indoor lighting. Color Performance and Calibration Regarding color, this is a 10-bit monitor (8 bit + FRC) that delivers satisfactory results. However, it is not a wide color gamut display. It barely approximates the sRGB / Rec709 color profile and falls significantly short of DCI-P3, despite my attempts to calibrate it multiple times using my Datacolor SpyderPro. Smoothness and Refresh Rate The 120Hz refresh rate is wonderful, making the image appear noticeably smooth and fluid. Portability and Conclusion For travel, the monitor is highly convenient to transport. It easily fits alongside my laptop, almost like a large tablet, and setup is extremely simple. Given its portability and ease of configuration, I highly recommend this monitor.
