Great product, worked right off the bat with no hick ups.
Worked perfectly. Using it as a time of use. This started up and ran my 3 ton AC unit. Please note that unless you are a licensed electrician, you will have to pay someone to hook it all up. It cost me $3600 for the install. I have had it up and running for three weeks now. The only downside is that idle consumption draws quite a bit of power just on and not doing anything.

Works great
Installed and worked great out of the box. Love having the additional battery capacity

It truly does what they say it will do
AMAZING! Last year’s hurricanes left us in Clearwater without power for almost five days. Downed trees and power lines trapped us in the neighborhood, and most of our neighbors ran out of gas for their loud, smelly, inefficient generators. This past week, I have lived entirely on this solar power generator. At first, I used both panels, but after adjusting the angle (thanks to ChatGPT and some solar apps), just one panel was enough to keep the battery charged overnight—even in February! I’ve run ceiling fans, TV, dishwasher, and even a full load of laundry in the washing machine. You can choose which circuits to include, which is fantastic. Just running the ceiling fans alone is a game changer—never mind the TV, Xbox, lights, router, modem, and more. I chose not to include the 220V circuits (range and dryer). Pro tip: Save the cardboard boxes! If you carefully unfold them and add a little duct tape, you can make a pad to place the panels on. I simply rotate the panels toward the sun during the day—easy peasy, no scratches, no effort. Increasing the tilt by about 29° nearly doubled my solar output. The panels are lightweight, fold up neatly, and store in sturdy carry bags with handles. There are multiple operating modes, and Jackery’s customer support has been extremely helpful. The app lets you turn any circuit on or off anytime—super simple. Nothing needs to be unplugged or moved. This entire week I used zero grid power. I unfold the panels around 7 AM and fold them up at 6 PM. I’m honestly astonished. You can also add more batteries or panels, including rooftop or array setups. Jackery connected me with an installer. The first quote was $3,000 but they wouldn’t install it where I wanted, so I paid closer to $5,000 to have it installed in a tight space with a surge protector. Totally worth it—this system is pretty freaking cool. This generator is everything they claim and more. Being a Florida residence will get you a full refund on your sales tax , and a 30% credit on your federal.

Good customer support but 5000 Plus doesn't meet my needs
I’m a relatively new owner in a 55+ community where quite a few homes sport natural gas powered generators. During a recent 12+ hour power I became unsure of the reliability of our electrical infrastructure and decided to move forward on a power backup system. During this outage the constant drone of generators in the neighborhood shoved my thinking toward a battery backup system. Some internet research led me to Jackery. A neighbor had friends who highly recommended this company and I ended up purchasing the Explorer 5000 Plus. To test the system I plugged my refrigerator into a front AC outlet and ran it for days. Pass-through power worked perfectly. I then had a manual transfer switch installed with the intention of powering one circuit (refrigerator and internet) that drew less than 200 watts full time as sort of a UPS. The 30 Amp outlet seemed to provide this pass-through power (Input power always equaled or exceeded Output power) until I woke up one morning to find the refrigerator powered off. The 5000 Plus had suffered a F6 failure. I tried multiple sequences in an effort to restore function with eventual success only to have it suffer the same failure. Contacting Jackery customer support I explained the failure and what I had done to temporarily correct the issue. They were very responsive to my emails and eventually pushed Firmware 1.6 out to me. This resolved the F6 failure issue. However, I identified that the unit was not providing pass-through for even small loads via the 30 Amp output and the battery continually cycles through drain and charge. On the plus side, it will run my refrigerator and wifi for almost 2 days without recharging. Most of our power outages don't last that long. I had really hoped that I could leave the unit on to power my one critical low wattage circuit using pass-through into a manual transfer switch while leaving all other circuits on residential power but it does not.

Great Customer Service
Incredible customer service that was not needed for their Incredible Jackery Explorer 5000 plus unit. It was a delivery issue that managed to smash a wheel on the very well packaged & heavy padding especially around the wheel (the wheel that was crushed). The unit surprisingly (considering what must have been a very harsh mishandling by the delivery company) still worked great. However, I was concerned the harsh impact could have future effects internally (despite working perfectly). Jackery completely understood my concerns, and offered to immediately send me a replacement wheel, then because of everyones busy Christmas Holidays activities, allowed me to wait for the unit exchanges until after the holidays. In addition, I had several questions and responses with Team Jackery (customer service), and our many correspondences were all answered each time the very next day (all emailed). The unit is great! Customer service is great! I will exchange the still working unit in January (for piece of mind from the very hard drop), and will build my full home backup systems with confidence and with all of Jackery's products.

The Jackery seems a quality product, although Purolator's delivery service was abysmal. Their front desk staff are clueless to help resolve or even find my package.

the product itself is great although i wish the battery was heated, take note it will not recharge below 0 degrees, but it will discharge just fine, i asked for a return and customer service was prompt to get me a prepaid label, meanwhile when i returned an anker solix f3800 a few months back, i had to pay $250 to ship it back, then it took a month and a half to get my refund with about 20 phone calls and emails, being ignored and told i was refunded already when i wasnt.

Great customer service. Just some different hardware to get used to. Do your research as this unit can power a home but you need be selective on what you use and for how long or investment in Jackery only batteries is needed very expensive.
