First of all, this unit is a nice, portable size. The battery lasts several uses and the pads are sticky and effective. Second of all, if you have any interest in simulating labor for a man in your life…give this unit a go!! We enjoyed our Christmas a great deal, hooking all of the menfolk up to this handy dandy torture device. It also offers a great deal of relief when used as intended.

I use this to help/rehabilitate a Parkinson's Disease patient with severe left-side neglect. The unit is very straightforward to use, but it can look intimidating. It took a few days for the patient's husband to feel comfortable with it. But once he used it a little he now loves it. We primarily use the R-stim settings, which are a little hard to find on consumer EMS units. When I chose this unit, I did so based on how difficult I felt other units were to use. In my case, the typical operator is someone in their 70s that does not use a computer and does not have a smart phone. So, touch screen based systems feel very foreign. I like this one because the settings are clearly marked. This unit also provides the type of EMS we wanted (Russian stimulation). We use the unit primarily to stimulate the arms/wrists. As for battery life, we haven't had a problem with it yet. It holds a sufficient charge to do several days of treatments 3 times a day. Adding an update over 6 months later. We used this to completely rehabilitate an am/hand that mysteriously went limp (this a severe dementia patient). We continue to use it to exercise the neglected left side, the treatment is guided by a physical therapist (They use various settings/modes) - We have been very very very pleased with this purchase. Maybe others will bump into this review coming from a Parkinson's/dementia search. We really wish we had learned about EMS treatments years earlier. They seem to be a powerful tool for slowing down or in some cases reversing neurological muscle problems. It is also sad that patients have to brave this stuff on their own, but we are very happy we bought/found this unit. We now have 2x2, 2x4, 3x5, and some butterfly electrodes we use.

This unit is working amazing I looked at many units that do the same thing but I decided on this one and I was not disappointed with the ability. I have been using it on and off and you do have to get used to it also if you have hairy body parts it’s going to hurt taking the sticky pads off but it’s expected I guess you can handle it. The unit itself is not tiny like many I saw but it’s because it has serious power I can only handle four bars of power and I believe it still has like eight more to go so I don’t think I could ever go that high but people that need it to do that will have just that. Being that it’s not tiny you have to carry it in a back pack or the bag it comes in minor down side. The color of the unit white I do wish they had some other color options. Also I would have loved to have the descriptions of the settings by the buttons where you choose what you want the machine to do I would have to constantly keep going back to the book to see what all the settings do. Or they could have put them on the back of the unit since I’m sure all of the instructions could fit. Also they could have better picture diagrams on the booklet that comes with this unit. I mean it was super basic since I don’t know much about TENS machines or where to place the sticky pads I think that would be very helpful. All in all I think it is an amazing little machine it’s certainly not the cheapest and not the most compact or beautiful one out there but makes up in performance. I think people that need this machine will be happy with their purchase it has helped me with my shin splints and other muscle issues. Hopefully you guys can live pain free or at least make it more tolerable I believe this unit will help minimize that.

Works great. Easy to use

I have chronic pain all over my body this tone-matic relieves some of my pain depending on where I use it. This machine can help you with some of your pain. If you can get 6 or 8 hours to relieve your pain it is worth it. This device is very expensive.this will not take care of all your pain if you want to have just a little relief you can’t go wrong it is easy to use has 8 different programs and also has carrying case.pads are not expensive when you have to reorder they last about 20 uses if you keep them clean
