One of the best breakfast sausage casings out there!
As someone who's still fairly new to sausage making, I bought this hesitantly after reading a few reviews about blowouts and issues. I've done some brats with collagen-based casings & was wanting to avoid that "snap" when making breakfast sausages, so I gambled & gave these a try. With the exception of one hiccup when I failed to keep it wet enough to flex and slide on the nozzle, this worked fantastically! It took about 6.25lb to fill all the casing, which was exactly what I'd prepared, and I couldn't get over just how good it looked when done. I paired this with A.C. Legg's Maple Breakfast Sausage spice mix, about 30% more than the recipe called for, and it made some absolutely superb sausage I'll be proudly frying up for company next weekend! The casing fries up well and is delicate when you bite into it, which is perfect for breakfast sausage. 10/10 -- I'll gladly buy & use this again!

God awful casings!
The casings were delivered the next day after ordering them. I was going to use them the following day to make some hotdogs. It came time to soak the casings in warm water before stuffing them. I cut the package open and immediately got hit with an horrendous odor. The smell of three day old road kill. I have been making my own sausage for 20 years and have never had casings stink so bad. I did not use them. Further analysis of the packaging shows they were made in China. I don't even think they were sheep casings. (Dog?). Besides the stink, after soaking, rinsing and washing them, they had an odd texture. DO Not Buythese. I was refunded my money.

Good quality, reasonable to fair price even though I would like to pay a little less
This works perfect for traditional South African Droërswors and breakfast sausage. If you open it and it stinks, it's normal. You won't taste it if it dries out or if you cook the sausage. I had little to no tears in the casings. This is also very easy to use.

Broken link
I was not satisfied at all with these casing. After soaking the casing for about an hour and lubricating the filler tube the casings were still impossible to load without tearing. They seemed much smaller than advertised…. Worst part is they are non-returnable and non-refundable!

Not too bad...not much of it, but not too bad
Good and bad. The casings looked good, were easy to get on and off the horn and seemed "clean". However, I was only able to stuff about 5 pounds. Luckily I had some collagen casings on hand or i would have had to figure out a plan C. Yes, they did smell...but i find that most natural casings that i use have some smell to them. The good part is not one blow out...i was happy about that.

Perfect breakfast sausage links
Made 2 lbs of breakfast sausages with these, they are great. Really does keep all the flavor in. I didn’t even have to tie the ends. I still have do much leftover. Looking forward to making my next batch. I would recommend!

The Worst Sausage Casings Imaginable....
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THESE CASINGS!!! I bought the "22-24 mm" diameter casings. Got the sausage stuffer set up and ready to stuff. The casings would not fit over the smallest diameter nozzle. I suspect they were 1/2 the advertised diameter.... When I finally did get a small amount on the nozzle, the casings tore extremely easily and repeatedly. Absolutely useless. I've made 100's of lbs.of sausage and have never been this frustrated by the utter lack of quality of this product. BUYERS BEWARE.

Small casings
I'm a beginner at using casing for sausages. At first I struggled to get the casing off the plastic. Then problem with fitting it on the sausage stuffer. After some trial and errors I figured it out. You really need to soak the casing for 30 minutes in warm water. Then cut one end of the plastic shorter so sliding the casing out will be easier. Then slowly run some water into the casing to test for leaks. There are 3 casings in this package. I think it was 1 piece cutted into 3 for easier to use. The quality is good since it didn't burst until I added too much pressure. It only smells at the beginning but no smell after soaking. This is a small casing which only fit small sausage stuffer. It is easy to use now that I learn how to use them. There is no taste on the casing itself and it's very thin you don't really taste it. These casings are useful making different type of sausages. It worked well in food dehydrator for Chinese sausages.
