I love mushrooms for health. I can't tell if anything has improved yet with these. But I'm sold on mushrooms and love this company. I suggest doing some general reaseach on mushrooms to see if you think they might be a good addition to your diet.

This is my review for Host Defense MycoBenefits Beauty Capsules - Supplement for Healthy Hair and; Nail Strength - Skin Elasticity and Health Aid - Mushroom Supplement with Biotin; Hyaluronic Acid - 60 Capsules (30 Servings). Host Defense is an American brand based out of Washington State. On their website you will find extensive, interesting information about the founding and founder of Host Defense Paul Stamets as well as lots of resources and education about medicinal mushrooms. They state that their products are Non Gmo. They also stste that their products "are verified for identity, purity, composition, and strength by independent labs that use internationally recognized, validated testing methods.". I'm sure they mean 3rd party lab tested. Their product formulations and ingredients are science back. Host Defense also does alot of R&D themselves. At 2 capsules a day there are 30 servings in this Host Defense Beauty Capules. The cost is very reasonable. I found the capsules had a smallish size and easy to swallow. I did not notice any aftertaste or GI issues with these capsules. It doesn't take long for the Biotin at least to show some of their benefits. By halfway through the month, I noticed my nails were stronger, and my hair wasn't falling out so much. As far as my skin I can't really tell the difference unless someone else tells me ... "Hey, What did you do to your skin?" I highly recommend Host Defense Beauty.

I like that this item is made by an actual American mycologist. You can google the guy, Stamets and see all kinds of things about him. He has written books and been a big leader in the mushroom world. The blend here is good for beauty, and if you like Biotin and hyaluronic acid, you are good to go. I feel the cost is really down to earth too. It is nice to find a product made by real people and not some faceless company in another country....

The science makes a bunch of claims to what all these mushrooms do individually. Paul Stamets put together a great stack in an easy to take capsule. I typically go for neuro and brain boosting stacks and have had great luck with them, but what good are brains without a little bit of beauty. Only been taking them for about a week, yet to see anything too significant. Not sure if I'll repurchase this particular one, but by my standards it seems to be a solid, clean, and likely effective product.

I'm healing from a shoulder injury and looking for ways to support my rehab work with diet and supplements. This supplement is named 'Beauty', but it could easy be known as 'Anti-Inflammatory' - enokitake, chaga, and reishi mushrooms, bamboo shoot extract, and hyaluronic acid (HA) all have inflammation regulatory effects, plus HA helps to lubricate joints. As the HA is in the sodium hyaluronate form, it has a low molecular weight which makes it better than whole form HA at penetrating tissues. I don't take it early in the day, as I don't want it to inhibit the positive inflammation caused by my shoulder stretches and exercises. Instead, I take it later in the evening, especially when I'm using heat/cold therapy to reduce pain and increase circulation to the damaged shoulder. So far I'm quite pleased with this supplement. The capsules are a medium size, smooth and easy to swallow, and leave no aftertaste. I've had zero negative side effects from this supplement, and I'm hopeful that it will make my recovery progress faster.
