Cumbersome but used properly, it’s a great product.
A great product. It’s quite cumbersome once put together but I managed fairly easily to get to the branches of two large trees and crown them out and tidy them up. The cutting action is good although the plastic leaver could, in time be the weak point in the system but it stood up to some abuse I gave it when cutting branches that I probably shouldn’t have had it cutting. Around about 45mm small branches. I did sharpen the cutting knife before using on these branches in which I feel helped with this though. But all in all, a great product, the pole despite being cumbersome is solid and strong. I did make an adjustment to how the nylon rope was put on it from factory as it was rubbing against an adjacent section of nylon near the lever which was causing friction, which could as others have pointed out, caused the rope to snap due to friction cutting through itself. But once I did that, it cut through all the branches that I needed too on two large 12m trees (one of which was an Oak) to cut the over hanging branches back. The two saws that came with it are excellent and were extremely sharp and useful for the largest of branches. I used these to cut through a third smaller tree of about eight metres to get that down to a three metre high trunk. It did exactly what I needed it to and with ease too. It’s great value for money and I can see it lasting for quite a few years if stored well for the domestic user like myself that just needs to cut the over hanging branches back once or twice a year. Overall, I would highly recommend this to friends and family but only those with the strength to use it. I’m far from Mr Universe but I found it easy to put together and use for an hour or so between breaks. Overall, I would recommend this product and quite highly too.

Good value for money DIY Pruning Saw
This is a really good DIY pruning tool. I chose this particular item because of it’s reach and cutting accessories. The lance itself is robust but does wobble a bit when you need to cut at a higher level. The connection points on the shafts are only chrome plated so will probably rust in time. I sprayed WD40 in mine as a precaution and wiped down with a cloth. The saw attachment is really good and sharp. I used it to prune branches on a walnut tree and a pine tree that were growing up too close to telephone lines in the garden - a job impossible to do with a ladder. The cutting attachment with the pull cord is easy to use at low elevations, but I found it a fiddly at higher elevations trying to get to branches particularly trying to push through a tree canopy with lots of branches. Overall I am happy with this product. It is good value for money and it a good bit of kit to have just in case you need it.

Good kit but can be unwieldy at full extension
Has done the job of pruning some eucalyptus trees, quick to assemble, and much cheaper than the alternative of bringing in a tree surgeon. The only downside is at full extension it can be a bit unwieldy and takes strength to handle simply because of the weight of the loppers/saw at the end of a 26 ft pole, however I don't think there would be a way round this.

Great item.
This is a really well engineered pice of kit. Saw blade very sharp and pruning attachment works well unless branches are very crowded. A bit difficult to use at full length but better than a wobbly ladder! Excellent value.

Well made and functional
Excellent product, well made and saw attachment cut 100mm branches. You have to lift the poles if extended fully 26ft like holding a set of ladders as quite heavy. The weight of the poles when at full reach is an advantage as the weight aids the cutting saw to get an initial cutting grip.

Great Pole Saw
Really good blade and great reach but fairly heavy when working at full extension.

Good, tricky to use
A lot depends on the type of tree. If the branches flex then using a saw is difficult. The smaller saw just attached to the poles only I found was the best in trimming a dense high conifer. The poles are thick but light and strong. The cutter is tricky but works but not on anything more than a small branch, I had to realign the cutter blade anvil by inserting some washers, the manufactured position was misaligning. The large blades rip through easily providing the branch is steady, its easy to trap a blade. A good product though be prepared for it to be awkward and at full length unwieldy.

Length isn't always good.
Quality of pieces is great and they fit together easily. The only thing to remember is once at full length it requires some strength to lift it up and use. Also once cut through a high branch stopping the pole from falling takes some practise. An amount of upper body strength is recommended when at fill length. The blade and cutter make light work of thick and thin branches and if looked after correctly I see this lasting a number of years
