Excellent quality
Great quality wood. Very easy to assemble, took me all of an hour. The wood was sanded and very smooth. Looked great after I stained it. Highly recommend

Good door kit
One board was warped and the instructions for assembly were AI junk, however the assembly was easy to figure out and the final product is not bad at all. Important to note that if you price the lumber to build this door on your own you will likely spend more than the cost of this kit door and that’s before the hardware. All in all I think this is a good buy.

Great Barn Door - Needs Assembled - Assembled With Ease
While the doors came needing put together, they were made of quality materials, went together with ease, were durable, and fit the space perfectly. They were the perfect size and there were no gaps. Very pleased with this door and great value for the amount of money. Some of these doors can run upward to $1,000 each, so finding this door was worth the money and my customer was very pleased with the end result. Stained very easily.

Easy but not easy
WOW oh wow..dont think anyone has left a detailed review so here is mine. First the door was super easy to put together. You will need glue to help hold pieces for you so not to allow for too much movement of slats. Also a long phillips or a long drill bit for drill when assembling door. As for inserting dowel pins using a hammer...cover with a cloth or another piece of wood to hammer in the dowels so you don't leave dents in the door. The boards on the outside are almost 2x4. The slats are not. They are about 1/2 inch thick...so your door isnt ALL 2 inches thick. Technically a 2x4 is not 2 inches thick either. Some of the boards in certain places would not take the stain. Bad spots in wood. Manufactures don't have much control over that though when boards are made. DO make sure if using glue you do not allow glue to seep onto exposed boards that you plan on staining. Use a wet paper towel to wipe off any exposed glue or stain will not cover it..if you are staining. I used a water based stain. First time to use this and it was AWESOME. No odor and easy clean up and the stain went on perfectly. I used Varathane ESPRESSO color. I have always been a Minwax girl but this water based stain with that brand has many choices in colors that I like. Plus I shop at Home Depot and that's what they carry. Its their brand. And it dries very fast and only took one coat. NOW the railing. SIGH. My first to do this so learn from me. I failed at it like 10 times. It was horrible. My measurements sucked.... A nightmare to say the least. I added the board which definitely gave it some support BUT..it also bumps the door out more and that I don't like. The holes in rail would not line up with studs so I felt I had no choice. I THINK that the manufactures of the railing should add more holes all the way across so that people can drill into a stud and have a hole available. The way it is now is very limited. The instructions on the railing was a little bit confusing for me so i think that's what messed me up. Now when I ordered this door and was waiting for it to arrive, I ripped off my old door framing cause it was in bad shape and I replaced the boards. I got another half inch out of the door. so instead 32, it is 32 1/2 in wide. NOT a big deal. I think they had it framed out and I framed it in more tight to stud to fit a door. ANYWAY with how the door sits, not close to framing due to overhead board holding rail..there is a gap...and I can see right around the side. Don't like that either. I now FEEL...I needed to get the 36 inch wide door to cover those open areas. So what I did, i added 2x3s to each side of the door to make it wider. It will be a tighter fit with 2x3s due to the length of the rail but it works. I know they will fit. The door rolls very smooth and quiet. The metal door guide for floor requires me to drill holes in floor. I am not going to do that. SO NOW, I am having to purchase a separate guide that will screw into the wall instead. I am not putting holes in my tile floor. Also it requires that gap in the bottom of the door..which is fine but..if I am adding boards to the sides, I do not have a table saw or router to cut it..so a floor guide to screw into wall works better for me. So you may want to consider that when installing. I hope this review will help others to know what to expect. IMO, this was difficult on installing railing so doubt I will ever install another barn door. ugh. it was too much for me.....but it looks nice. UPDATE on an added note AFTER install. I think shorter spacers for railing when using the board above would remedy my issue. Although I had now added 2x3s to each side, I still would like to see it fit more snug. So I will look into purchasing shorter ones. Also due to me having limited wall space where the door is parked when open..it now does block the doorway 5-6 inches. Somewhat of an issue but not big enough to change it. It looks GREAT though when the door is closed. Door trim and everything is covered so all you see is a door and a wall..no door trim. See added boards in image with door closed.

The wood boards splenter
I would love to give it 5 stars because initially it was perfect but several of the boards are defective The spaces in the picture are not gaps between boards, rather it shows the splentering of the defective boards. I hope to use wood putty to fill the gaps & then stain the door! Other than this the product is easy to assemble & is the aesthetic I was looking for!!
