It's great if you plug in the inside unit-
If you want to see it without touching it from a distance as I do, you need to plug it in and you can set the back light how you want. It's bright and easy to see. If you put them side by side, the outside and the inside unit sometimes they read the same temp and others 1º-2º difference with the inside being warmer and the inside one doesn't jive with other units I have inside. The outside temp appears accurate so far. I wish I could adjust it so the inside temp is accurate oor if the outside wasn't, if I could adjust it, that would be nice. It can be used to predict weather and a host of other things I'm don't care about. I want to know the outside temp, windspeed, and humidity primarily and the direction if that part ends up working correctly. It hasn't on 2 other brand name ones and my mechanical wind vane spins and doesn't help. I'm not counting on it as where they get mounted, the wind gusts and can become circular. I do have one suggestion, they should include a cap to cover the rain gauge for those of us who get wild weather. Our weather will simply destroy it with freezing rain, imo. I plugged it the hole with silicone but it only goes on with the dish down. I'll have to block it off with some kind of cap so it doesn't get frozen and break. It appears well made, but it's not made to take our wild weather and I'm not spending gobs just to have that. I can see how much it rains in a container. The rest of the unit I absolutely love. There's TINY screws that hold the wind and direction vane you have to tighten during assembly. You'll likely drop them as I did. No worries, they gave me 6 extra even though I found them. This is not a unit to be assembled by those who lack dexterity. They provided a nice little screwdriver with a rubber type handle that worked just dandy on the tiny screws. For the larger screws for the post mounting, I used my own tool. Now- it has a built in level bubble- cool feature, imo. I also used MS 5 locknuts for the bracket mount instead of the included ones for the post to bracket connection because of the wind vibration it will endure. Included mounting screws were too short, BUT my 2" 1/4 drive roofing screws with steel & rubber washers worked perfectly. It is built solid. I checked the windspeed inside with a mini-air gun used to clean keyboards & etc and it worked fine. Note tho- it doesn't send the info instantly, it delays it a little which I tested by increasing the air and decreasing it....it went to 66 mph spinning it like crazy. The Atomic clock sets when you follow the included instructions. It's fancier than I need. The solar should have a battery for it instead of relying on only 3 AA batteries as a backup. If there's one in it, I couldn't tell. You do have to set it to your time zone. CAUTION- access to install the 3 AA batteries is TIGHT. the little lock slide MUST be moved all the way. Then I had to use a pocketknife to carefully pop the cover loose without breaking it. It's better built than the 2 LaCrosse ones I have set in different locations. I REALLY hope this one lasts because I really like it and how well it's built. I'm hoping to get 5 years out of it before the solar panel pukes.

Easy setup. Lots of functionality!
I received this weather station delivered just two days after placing the order. It arrived well-packed. I found the instruction manual to be straightforward and easy to follow. I charged the included battery while I assembled the device. For me the assembly went smoothly. The base station synched with the sensors automatically. I was worried about the connection between the base station and the sensors, because I had to place the unit on my back fence several hundred feet from the house. The good news is base station shows good signal strength even on the opposite side of the house. I then downloaded the free SmartLife App and used it to connect the base station to my home 2.4 GHz wifi network. So far everything is working without a hitch. For the price, this unit has a lot of nice features. It shows the wind speed, wind direction, temperature (indoor and outdoor), relative humidity (indoor and outdoor), dewpoint, wind chill, heat index, outside light intensity, UV index, rainfall, and barometric pressure. That's a lot of features for the money! I definitely recommend this product.

Decent weather station for price
Works well. Does not come with mount or post to use right out of box. I had to get a 1 1/4” pole. The wind direction arrow will continuously spin with wind speeds above 10 mph

Tuya-connected weather station - yay!
Tl;dr review: Buy the "7-in-1 Wifi with APP" version, and it will talk to your Tuya-based smart app. All the units under this listing that do NOT say "7-in-1 Wifi with APP" will presumably NOT talk to your Tuya-based app. As an Amazon Vine reviewer, I get stuff (from the stuff that's available), and review it. For Vine items, apart from paying taxes on the value of the item, I don't have to pay for the stuff I review. I tell you that only to let you know that I did NOT get this from Amazon Vine, I paid money for it, and am glad I did. I don't HAVE to review this item, I WANT to review this item. My reason for wanting this weather station is simple. I have a five-year-old Accurite one that is very similar in form and functionality, but it doesn't do a few critical things - chief among them is talk to my smart home platform. I have a house full of light fixtures, fans, smart outlets and bulbs, cameras, doorbellcam, floodlightcam, air purifier, a generic "weather station" without rain/wind, etc., all of which talk to my Feit Electric app, which is a rebrand of Tuya Smartlife. Any app that is based on the Tuya platform will add this just fine. As I trawled through Amazon for weeks leading up to Prime day, looking for a deal on a weather station, the criteria was literally "what I have right now, but one that will talk to my Tuya-based app." There are astonishingly few units that meet the criteria. Of those that did, this was the least expensive, and the closest to a recognizable brand name. So yes, if you have Feit Electric, Tuya Smart, Tuya Smartlife, or any other Tuya-based app, this will give you the ability do something these things previously were unable to do: Track and graph history, so you don't wake up in the morning to a wet yard, see 0.00" of rain on your display, and not know how much rain you got between bedtime and midnight when the meter reset. This functionality also extends to "how dry did it get / how long has it been this dry / did it get down to freezing overnight / etc." Random things: - The outdoor sensor unit talks to the indoor display unit. The indoor display unit is what talks to your 2.4Ghz wireless network and therefore the app. - In the outdoor sensor there is a detachable, replaceable, Ni-mh battery pack, that charges via a solar panel. Per the instructions, do charge it fully before use the first time, using the charger included in the package. - MOST but not all of the annoying things you would have to do on the unit to set it up can be done via the app. So charge up the batteries for the sensor, power it up, put 3 AAA batteries into the display unit, plug in the display unit to A/C power, and add to your app. Now instead of messing around push-push-pushing buttons, you can use the app to tell it whether you like English or metric units, etc. The unit I got was already set up for America - Fahrenheit, miles per hour, inches of mercury, etc. - A couple settings you will still have to do via push-push on the unit are Time Zone (why? - seriously guys…) and if you are in the southern hemisphere there's a setting that flips everything for you, North for South orientation-wise so you can mount the unit properly. - Speaking of the buttons, they are actually capacitive switches (touch switches) - the bottom of the screen of the display unit acts like a touchscreen. It isn't actually a touchscreen it's just touch switches, but just to note there are no poorly-labeled identical black buttons on the back or sides of the unit, it's all right up front. - The display panel is bright and visible from most angles (there's a dead spot when looking up at it from certain angles, chiefly from below, so your infant might not see it if it's at 5' from the floor) - but with other units I have had, you literally had to stare dead-straight-on to see the numbers.) - Pole mounting of exterior sensor: I have a 1.16" OD pole (1" electrical conduit) pounded into the ground for my old unit. The pole mounting clamps are just BARELY too big to make that work. A wrap of self-sealing silicone tape made the pole big enough for the clamp to engage. - If you are new to smart things, Tuya, etc., the most important thing to know is that 99.9% of smart stuff, including this unit, will connect to a 2.4 Ghz wireless network ONLY, and it needs your phone to be on a 2.4Ghz network to make the magic happen (only during installation / adding to the app. After that, use whatever network makes you happy.) - You can APPARENTLY purchase up to three remote indoor/outdoor temperature/humidity sensors that talk on 915 Mhz and have ABC or 123 switches, and then you'll have additional sources of input (temp in bedroom, humidity in greenhouse, that sort of thing). I cannot find any of these in the Vevor store, but in theory as long as whatever you buy meets the criteria you should be good. Have had the unit for a day and a half, have had it mounted for several hours. So I can't tell you how durable, accurate, etc. yet. But overall, for less than $100 I got what I was after and am pretty happy. General note to all about "where to put the outdoor sensor to be 100% accurate": You can't be 100% accurate on all readings with an all in one unit like this, at least not "national weather service" accurate. The wind sensor should be mounted 33 feet off the ground, in a completely unobstructed area (no trees, buildings, fences, etc.) if you want to be "official". The thermometer / hygrometer should be 3-6 feet off the ground. For myself, I care a lot more about what the wind is doing to my face and my patio furniture than I do about what it would be doing to my 33' tall chimney, if I had a 33' tall chimney. So mine is about 6' off the ground. Notes to manufacturer / seller: - If you can slide in an AQ monitor that does PM25 and whatnot, I would happily pay double what I paid for this. Don't have 300 spare dollars to buy a unit from purpleair. - Also, a 3-pack of remote sensors that are proven to work with your units would be worth 25 bucks to me. - Finally, I doubt I'm the only person who knows about Tuya, and had the thought "it would be so cool if..." Instead of listing every weather station you sell in one big lump and then making people guess what "blah blah with APP" means, break them out by functionality and features, and for God's sake put "works with Tuya" right there in the title for those units that actually do.

Rekommenderas varmt!

Just installed this yesterday was a breeze went together quite easily and started working right away. If there’s any longevity to this product, I am impressed. Took two weeks in transit before I received, and the tracking information was virtually worthless.
