Better than Orbit lawn enforcer!
Don’t usually write reviews, but raccoons have been tearing up my lawn every night. I have four Orbit Lawn Enforcers, but the raccoons were still able to navigate around them. I purchased this one in addition to the four I already have to completely protect my yard. Since getting this, the raccoons haven’t touched my yard — they get sprayed every time they come close. It really works! Depending on how big your yard is, you might need multiple units to fully cover the area. I currently have five and just bought two more. Between this and the Orbit Lawn Enforcer, I prefer this one — the Trurid Deer and Cat Repellent. Here are the pros and cons between the two: 1. Sensitivity and Range: This one is much more sensitive and has better range than the Orbit, even though Orbit advertises up to 40 ft vs. 30 ft for this one. In reality, the Trurid’s range feels like more than 120 degree. There were a few times the Orbit sprinkler didn’t activate even when the raccoon was right in front of it (a limitation of the PIR sensor). It works best when the animal walks across the sensor rather than directly toward it. The Trurid, on the other hand, is more sensitive even when the animal walks straight at it. 2. Night Mode: The Orbit has a night mode, while this one only has an “on” mode. I have to turn it off every morning so it doesn’t spray my kids or the neighbors’ cats. 3. Build Quality: The Orbit’s materials are sturdier; the Trurid is mostly plastic. We’ll see how well it holds up after a few months. 4. Power Source: The Trurid is solar-powered, while the Orbit uses batteries. 5. Sprinkler Head: Both have similar sprinkler heads. 6. The Orbit has much clearer instructions. The assembly instructions for this product don’t quite match the actual parts — something other users have also mentioned. You need to screw on the sprinkler head adapter before attaching the sprinkler head. It took me two minutes to figure that out! Overall: The Trurid Deer Repellent wins for its superior range and sensitivity!

Motion activated sprinkler (works at night) and NO MORE critter damage in flowers or lawn.
This motion activated - day time solar fed - sprinkler saved me so much aggravation. For months possums, skunks and raccoons were uprooting plants and digging 4- 6 in holes in my flower beds. Nearly every second day when I would wake and check there were new holes everywhere. I would then spend 1 hour a day cleaning up dead plants and filling holes back in. *** The only thing that really worked for me was this awesome sprinkler head *** This device detects motion and you can play with spray height, spread and sensitivity of detection. The device has worked on raccoons, skunks and possums as well as squirrels. I caught ring videos of all these and have the proof that it worked really well. Since installing I no longer have holes or need spend hours of flower bed repair time. Thank you to the maker. I am not paid for this ... I am simple "peasant" living in South Bay area of SF. Thanks

Effective with cats
Instant relief from neighbor cat. Unwanted cat keeps coming in my yard killing wildlife and urinating. I set this up and put a camera on it. The cat set it off the first night and went slinking away. I just move it around the yard and now the cat stays away b/c not sure when or where it might be set off. It stays on for just a few seconds then shuts off. Only have had it a few days, and would give it 4 1/2 rather than 5 stars because it’s a lot of plastic, though the base is a metal spike which is good.

Just does not cut it as a wildlife deterrent!
I have numerous mature peach and plum trees in my backyard. The trees are caged but deer, some bird damage and squirrels are the usual suspects in my area. I thought this product would work so I tried it on a peach tree that matures later in the season, as the others were already picked. I use many long poles as fruit tree supports to prevent damage from deer and breakage of scaffold branches on the trees. I have the device set on high sensitivity. Even if I approached the farthest side of the detector the sprinkler would see me and I had to duck! Two days ago I was looking at the tree and to my chagrin I saw a squirrel actually run up one of the tree support poles, rummaged around and took off with a peach. Did the device see the animal? No. Did it catch it running up the pole? No. After this squirrel disappeared, another showed up and jumped in the tree. I chased it and I got wet but the device didn't pay attention to the squirrel!! Totally laughable situation but this product is basically worthless. Summing up, this may work for deer but if squirrels are a problem avoid this product like the plague.

Handy Device To Protect The Lawn
We had squirrels digging up our new lawn, so we tried a few other remedies that didn't work. Bought these motion activated sprinklers, and no more holes in our lawn. The sprinklers set up easily and activate when motion is detected using a minimal amount of water. They feature a small solar panel which keeps the batteries charged. Sensitivity is adjustable, as is the sprinkler head coverage area. If all else fails, these are the solution for keeping animals away.

Efficient and safe
This has been an excellent alternative to traditional pesticides for my garden. Since setting it up, it has effectively deterred rabbits, deer, and even birds from disturbing my plants. I bought this set right at the beginning of my gardening season, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed by how well it works. Thanks to this, wildlife has stayed away, and my garden has flourished without any interruptions. The adjustable motion range is a great feature—you can increase or decrease it as needed, or switch to a “sprinkle only” mode, which is perfect for watering. Setup and placement were both simple and hassle-free.

Works but missing a part and customer service does not exist
Itr works well, and has adequate adjustments if all the parts are present. One of mine arrived with only one limit ring (it needs two to control the range of the arc). I figured out a way to limit the act but it is not ideal. Their customer service number connects to a company trying to sell home medical alert devices and their email is returned as undeliverable. They have no web presence.

Best. Deterrent. Ever.
This is literally the best thing I ever bought to try to repel some neighborhood cats that were insistent on using my backyard as their personal litter box. And look, I love cats, but I’m not a fan of picking up someone else’s cats’ poop, so I tried every repellent known to man before this with little to no luck. When I finally got this, I was pretty skeptical since nothing else was working, but this is an absolute game changer. I’ve had no cats since its installation, and I like that it’s reasonably sensitive, but not overly so, so it’s not just spinning around wasting water. That being said, it matters where you place it, because I originally put it next to a sage bush that grew too close to it, which triggered it a lot until I cut it back. So just something to consider.
