Nicely engineered and easy to install. It took me about 40 minutes, beginning to end. The installation video was quite helpful. My only criticism is that while almost everything you need for installation it is included, there are no clips. I had a few left over from another dashcam I purchased and in my opinion, clips are necessary for proper rear camera installation. I considered returning this model for the new one with GPS but decided against it since Volvos have GPS running at all times.

Installed in just over :30 min... saw a video that showed just removing the first piece (behind mirror), which exposed the connector enough to put in splitter and stuff extra wire into the housing. For our 2022 XC60 T8, that meant we didn't have to remove (and replace) the entire cowling shown in the video, which would have doubled the amount of time. One piece out - installed splitter - camera in - done. We have the 4K version, which seems good so far.

Good and solid

I purchased this for my 2025 Volvo XC60 T8 (plug-in hybrid) because it seemed like a fairly easy install without running wires in the headliner and elsewhere. That's all true. With a little time (about an hour) I followed the video instructions to remove the rear-view mirror housing, add the split power cable, and connect/mount the dashcam. The instruction video, while brief, does show all the essential steps; just take your time with supplied plastic pry tool to remove the mirror housing and related pieces. Attaching the camera, and putting the assembled unit back in place was also fairly easy. The result, to me, was something that looks like it was a factory installed. I installed a larger microSD card. The capacity is limited to 256GB, a slight negative. The dashcam itself, besides the memory slot, has two simple controls: a power button and another for capturing a photo. Audio alerts to when the camera / WiFi is on or off. However, recording automatically starts when car is turned on. The Skycam app gives more control, but seems a bit touchy. I sometimes had trouble connecting to the camera through its private WiFi network -- or I would have rated 5 stars. Otherwise, you can control the camera's resolution, download images and video, etc. The image and video quality seemed to match the specs. Shipment took about a week from China. But overall this was a good purchase, worked as stated, and was fairly easy to install.

Tried a similar version of a Volvo dashcam last year and experienced several issues. Tried this model and everything is working well so far. Easy to install, just make sure to use the correct adapter cable that comes with the cam.

PERFECT FOR VOLVO.

In spite of what the listing said - this didn't work in my car - the connections were not the same - they had a different number of pins. Thankfully, I hadn't installed anything yet - I always test fit the connections before doing the full blown installation. The item was returned due to a lack of compatibility.

Easy installation and app setup. Clear image

Easy to fit (mine was type A), video was helpful, once the cover is off easy to see where it fits, you have to remove one plastic piece and fit the camera there. Wiring was simple to connect, once the cover is back on, don't forget the bit above the mirror stem, it's a bit fiddly but does click back in place. Not run rear camera yet (heavy rain) but all tested before re-assembly. Looks like it is an original fitting for the car. Excellent quality from both cameras.

I installed a Mangoal Dashcam in my GMC truck 2 months ago, and ordered one for my wife's car for Christmas... it arrived quickly and installing the front camera was very easy in the 2026 Volvo XC60. Running the wire to the rear was a little bit tricky at times, but ended up exactly where it was supposed to be. I love the look of the Mangoal Dashcam... like it came like that from the factory! The plastic is colour matched. This camera was wired off of a dimming mirror, but my truck didn't have that option. When I checked the video, the front 4k, and rear 1080 were perfect and each was recording to the included Lexar. I love these cameras! No fuss and easier to install. A
