Only buy this if you want to expand your mechanic skills by working on cursed junk
Big problems with these kits. My second kit just self-destructed just past the return date. Kind of dangerous the way it did it too. I had to push the bike because I was stuck in loose sand when all of a sudden something popped in the twist throttle and the bike abruptly began to go full throttle. It ran me over and hurt my feelings. It stayed stuck on full throttle any time the power was on. I bought a new grip throttle but same thing. It ended up being the controller and the throttle went bad. I then had to buy a new controller-display-throttle-pas kit because Pexmor does not give a damn about their customers. I have emailed them and attempted contact on a couple of occasions with questions about their horrible products and they DO NOT help or answer the emails. Just buy a complete ebike from Amazon! It would have been way cheaper if I had. Good project though. It pushed me in new ways.

Axle too fat for standard forks. Broke my forks
Axle diameter too large for standard forks. Broke forks. Drilled out the second forks which likely weakens them but it’s functioning. We’ll see for how long and hopefully no one gets hurt. I’m afraid to take it off road. Brake levers are cheap with poor travel distance. Don’t bother installing them. I also took off the pedal assist. The bag is critical to hold the controller but is not big enough to hold all the loose wires. All the loose wires make it look like Frankenbike. Furthermore the bag’s Velcro strap came off and needed to be sewn on with an awl.

This kit tuned my regular 26in moutain bike into a beast. Hit 32mph on a 80% charged battery

Don't recommend if you live on a hill
This ebike kit is good, but I have a little issue with the product. The motor automatically stops all power when it hits 38.5mph and it almost got me killed because I was going down a hill and turning little, the motor stopped power and started to shake rapidly it scared the heck out of me.
