These lights are very nice sturdy not cheap and the brightness is beautiful. You can keep the top part on then you get the direct spotlighting or you could take the top part off and get the whole spot lighting terrific lighting love it

Great lights and they don't get hot.

Great lights for behind the TV. Nice temperature that doesn't distract from the LED Flat Screen TV. These lights don't get anywhere as hot as the 25 year old halogen light they replaced. The foot switch on the cord is interesting, but I don't think that we will ever use it. The only reason for the 4 stars was I don't particularly like that there is no way to keep the top fastened to the bottom. It would be nice if there was a "twist locking motion" that allowed the bottom and top to click together.

Great purchase gives good light in family room

Many previous reviews mentioned the top falling off - it does if you just breathe on it, however, we set this up in the corner we wanted it, set the push button where it could easily be reached - LOVE the push button with the foot feature - and it works WONDERFULLY!! Just the perfect amount of light and the fact it comes as a set, when this light dies, we'll just use the other one!

These lights work well, but be sure you understand how hot halogen lights get. We actually stopped using them as we were concerned about possible fire risks.

Great for updating/back lighting a dark corner near my plants. Does get a little hot. It has adjustable feet which I removed the two front ones to angle it a little better. I like that the on off switch lays on the floor and is easy to reach with your foot

They look great and work great with a smart plug for ease of use and timing. They don't topple over, but the angled cap does come loose very easily.
