I have 2 of these and will buy them for my next project too. Programming takes a little patience but they are a good reliable unit. I have mine limited to 40 amps because my 10 gauge wires were getting too hot. I use one 40 amp unit and one 60 amp unit with eight 225 watt solar panels each connected (4S 2P). This gives me 77 to 78 amps total going to my batteries at midday. My 1st system is 48vdc (4S 2P) with 8 100 amp hour batteries and a 5000 watt 48vdc inverter, and my 2nd system is 12vdc (4p) with 4 100 amp hour batteries and a 2000 watt 12vdc inverter.

I purchased this as it looked like good value for the money. Initially it worked fine when I used a separate charge controller. When I hooked the PV array directly to the invertor, the MPPT board shorted out. Contacted customer service to order a replacement board, provided the board number and an image of the board. After 8 weeks, they sent the wrong item. After exchanging several emails and waiting an additional 2 months received the correct board. Next problem occurred when I hooked up my generator. Invertor would not charge the battery and they claimed it would due to the instability of the voltage from the generator. Provided a video showing the voltage remained within +/- .1 volts over 5 minutes. Customer service stalled continuously and never was able to get the invertor to operate correctly. Bought a SunGold inverter, hooked it up exactly the same and it functioned properly. Spend a little more money and by the SunGold!

Worked great until it didn't...... released bad smoke and stopped working for no apparant reason i tried to contact ampinvt about warranty couldn't reach no one so that went no where so I ordered another inverter as I am off grid and rely on that equipment and had no other means of power other then buying a generator during during the process of trying to get repaired or warranty handled I seeked out help from a local electronics repair company they found a bunch of poor craftsmanship on the board inside that lead to the failure the repair company also tried daily for two weeks to contact ampinvt to get specs on replacement parts to which ampinvt refused to give specs to repair company but insisted I buy another board after I had already purchased a second inverter I am extremely upset about the way this company has handled this situation after I have bought multiple charge controllers and other components from them

Does fine for solar charging and general 110/240v inverter from 48v batteries. It will not take the 50 amp 240v output from a 13000 watt generator to charge. I thought it was the generator at first, I upped from a 9000 watt to 13000 watt. I could get it to charge at 10% load but it was only taking power from 1 of the two "hot" inputs from the generator. I ended up getting a dedicated battery charger for charging the batteries from the generator. For batteries I have 8 SLA 150ah Deep Cycle (4 each in series)
