I am loving this mat so far. I got the second level and use it bare skin, I am glad this was the level I chose. Any bit more painful and I’d need a shirt, any bit less and it wouldn’t be as impactful. For reference, I have a fairly high pain tolerance, so if you are not certain or don’t have as high tolerance, start at the lowest or you may not be able to use bare skin. As for the effect, it takes a few minutes for it to work and it does hurt for perhaps the first 2-3 minutes. After that, your muscles relax and it is a comfortable warming sensation. It alleviates all the tension in my back while relaxing my whole body. To help target areas, I switch using and not with a pillow for my head amd a chair for my feet. With the chair, it targets my lower mid back, and without, my lower back. The pillow is the same with my upper back You can pretty much lift and lower with your head and legs to hit your whole back. It’s incredibly versatile and effective. My routine is 20 minute sessions, altering my position on 5 minute intervals, and I feel completely relaxed with a pain free back once I’m done. It’s absolutely wonderful.

First let me start by saying there’s a lot of snake oil products out there and I was suspicious this was one of them. Curiosity finally got the better of me though, and I pulled the trigger and decided to start with level 2. I figured why have to keep leveling up, if I can’t handle 2 I surely won’t ever be able to handle level 3. I must say, this mat has been a pleasant surprise. The first time I laid on it, yes it definitely hurt. Per instructions I focused through the pain, and sure enough within about 15 minutes I hit the “zen” moment where the pain stops, and relaxation takes over. With that said, the more you use the mat, the more you get used to the pain and the shorter the duration of pain before you hit that zen state. You kinda know what to expect and that helps your brain relax a bit quicker. I got this mat because I was struggling with upper and middle back tension, mostly due to having a desk job and overall added stress this past year. I can confidently say this has been a valuable tool in reducing stress and tension. I have incorporated meditation, magnesium, heart variability training and foam rolling/stretching along with almost daily use of my shakti mat. It has made a huge difference, and while I still have a ways to go, I am thankful that I took the risk and bought this mat. I know it is a bit pricier than some of the other options, but the quality is great. I also love that it easily folds and can be stored right in the box it came in or in the bag that is included. I highly recommend giving it a shot if you have trouble relaxing or letting go of tension. Just be committed to pushing through the initial pain, and honesty it’s not nearly as bad as som reviews state. I have a relatively low pain tolerance, and I am already considering upgrading to level 3 in the next few months. I hope this review helps those who are on the fence.

I was honestly very skeptical about this mat, but there was such an overwhelming number of positive reviews, I decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did!! I hold a lot of tension in my neck and back, and that combined with lower back pain I have after being a nurse for over 20 years, I am always on the look out for something that will help. This mat is truly astonishing!! Does it hurt when you first lay on it? Yes. It also burned a bit at first, but I after a minute ir so, I started not to notice and started to feel more relaxed. I was absolutely amazed that after laying on this for about 20 minutes, I had zero tension in my back and I honestly cannot remember the last time my back felt so relaxed. I also felt more energized and overall my mood felt improved. I highly recommend this product!

Love hate relationship - wow this is definitely an experience. Took about 10 to 15 seconds of major discomfort and then a beautiful calm in the entire body and mind. Amazing feeling after the pain goes. After getting up, my entire body had a buzzy calm energy. Hard to describe but highly recommend!

The first time I laid on this, I timed to see how long (if at all) until I got some good feelings, and after 4 minutes my body felt euphoria that, while not as strong, was in the same category as post-surgery narcotics. I was blown away at the result. Unfortunately, no other time has felt the same, although I still really enjoy it and have laid on it every day since I got it. Someone in the reviews mentioned that they feel the same relief as they do from a massage. I have not experienced the same thing, and I love a deep tissue massage. However, it is extremely effective at putting me to sleep (knocks me out in 20 minutes or less) and I hope to see long-term benefits. The quality is outstanding, truly top notch and feels very luxury. I also think it's really effective at relieving anxiety because it gives your mind a very strong physical sensation to focus on. I highly recommend this modern day bed of nails!

Feels good after use but how do you clean with out damaging

This helps relieve back pain, and loosens up my back quite nicely. I started on Level 2, which is not as intense as they say. Wish I had gone straight to level 3, but it still works well.

I purchased this Shakti mat, pillow, and headband after being swayed by the hype of so many 5-Star reviews. But having now used it three times, I don't intend to use it again. Why? Because while the claimed health benefits are uncertain, what is certain is the discomfort. They claim you get used to the pain of laying on it. I found the opposite to be true. The more sessions that I laid on it, the less I could tolerate it. Otherwise, if you are determined to stick with it, my impression is that this is the best brand name.

Super Matte! Die ersten 5 Minuten sind hart, aber dann merkt man die Entspannung. Sehr zu empfehlen!

ジャネリックが思ったり良かったので、こっちのlevel2も買ってみました。 level3と迷いましたが、1でもよかったかもと思うくらい本家は痛みが強く、自分の場合20分経ってもまだ痛みがあり、これで気持ちよくなるのかなという感じでした。 しかし、二日目同じようにおそらく20分近く経った頃に寝落ちしていたみたいで、二時間近くこの上で寝ていました。 ちょっとクセになる気持ち良さで今後も続けられそうです。
