Great for you old Windows machine that is EOL with Win10 but your WiFi HW doesn't support Linux. Cheap, fast and works just plugging it in!

This USB WIFI adapter will not work correctly with Dell Inspiron 5555. Win10 Home. Driver shows up as Realtek 8811CU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB NIC. Speeds are low and vary each time I test it. Will be returning.

Works without any issues. Fixed my wifi on my old pc and got me connected again. I like that it has any needed drivers installed with it. I world recommend.

This actually works. However, there is no CD in the package. I was going send it back, but plugged it in to see what would happen. It automatically installed something. Maybe a device driver. I had to go into my win10 device manager under network adapters and disable the existing wireless device. I left the intel network connection alone. The realtek 8811CU wireless LAN802.11ac USB NIC was what was installed and now used. works thru the normal win 10 wifi menu. works 2g and 5g. 2g (40mb/s up and down). 5g(100mb/s up and down). Hope this helps.

Just plug the device into your device via a USB port and that's it! Easy! Basement room Vizio TV kept getting disconnected from my Wi-Fi. With this inside the USB port on the TV the connection is more stable. TV recognizes it as a COMP so it's installed. Restart your TV after you plug it in and it may not or may recognize it but the connection will be more stable on the device. I also installed this on my Bedroom TV and the connection is better and the function is more faster. Same older devices like my Samsung Blu-ray DVD player don't recognize it or work with it because it's driver specific.
