SoundBeast AV to HDMI Converter & Recorder 2.0 - AV RCA Composite to 1080P HDMI TV Upscaler - for VCR, VHS, DVD, Camcorder, Hi8, Gaming - 4:3 Aspect Ratio - USB Video Capture

While this was recommended from a YouTube video I took a chance. It turned out to be one of the best purchases I have made. It is turned to grainy videos into excellent HD videos

Very easy to set up and use. Easy to switch out different interfaces. We have an original Nintendo as well as some other vintage game consoles. The picture isn't perfect, but it's very close and the details that are missing aren't imperative to the function of the game.

Does its job to covert my old laserdisc RCA to HDMI. Best results are to upscale from 480 to 720. I would have given it a five but my one complaint is with the case. The RCA jacks have only enough clearance via the case for cheap cables. If you’re using monster cables or any other premium brand they will not work with case as is. I fixed this by filing the openings on the case to provide the necessary clearance and it’s fine. Not sure what the engineer that designed the case was thinking. Again otherwise it does what it advertises.

Works as stated. Has switch for 4:3 picture size. Also 720 image output. Outputs hdmi to smart t v . Takes old style Y video, W & R sound input. It does require usb power input so when planning cables & power allow for it. I connected old vhs player to newer samsung tv. If it lasts it is worth price.

I have tried several video capture devices, from the cheaper ones in the $20+ to the higher end $60+. Everyone has its own problems, such as low quality video, upscaler unable to adjust to 4:3 aspect ratio, to mono audio support only. Until I found this. The device can stream your RCA video/audio into HDMI output. But most importantly for me, I can plug the USB-C into my laptop, and capture the video in 640x480 pixels, which roughly maps to the original analog video source (Hi 8 tapes). Once I capture into the PC, I can use open source software (OBS) to upscale if needed. The video quality was actually better than the other devices which upscaled it to 720p or 1080p. It also keeps the original stereo two channel audio as well. Highly recommend this.

This item makes it easy to hook a vcr or camcorder up to your TV. You just hook the HDMI cable into one side of the soundboard AV and the yellow, red and white cords to the other side of the Soundbeast AV. The other end of the yellow, red, and white cords or cord , depending of your device goes into the VCR or camcorder. For a VCR hookup you will need the yellow, red and white cords on the other end to go into the VCR for VCR hook up. For .my camcorder I have one main cord on the other end of the yellow, red, and while cord that hooks up to my camcorder to play on the TV. The picture is Great!!! Thank you soundBeeast!!!

I recently purchased the SoundBeast AV2HDMI 2.0, and I’m really impressed with its performance! Not only does it seamlessly convert AV (RCA/composite) signals to HDMI, but it also comes with a USB video capture feature, which was a game-changer for me.What really stood out for me was the USB video capture functionality. I was able to digitize old VHS tapes directly onto my computer, preserving precious memories with ease. Why did you pick this product vs others?: In a youtube presentation it was indicated as one of the best for beginners and would not have the problem on the top of the converted viceos, a greenish band as the cheaper makes made in China. However I have this greenish problem and this Item is made in China whilst I bought it from USA, thinking it was American made. The item was not worth the price I paid for and this company has made large profitis since the quality is the same as a €20 one made in China.

Werkt onmiddellijk out of de box. De software downloaden en opnemen.. De video kwaliteit is zeer goed.

A great piece of kit. Beware cheaper imitations as I know there are many different brands offering a similar thing at a cheaper price. This one is fautless & a worthwhile investment. Thanks

I bought this as three of the cheaper ones weren't bright enough for my TV. This one, however, is perfect. It's very bright, and the colours pop. A very welcome addition, and I can finally even play Doom 64 after all this time. Excellent product.

Works perfectly. I was getting a ton of dropouts in my tv with the cheaper $15 model sold on Amazon but this one did the trick. Just wish it was cheaper.

I had the Elgato video capture stick but it did not have the selections that the SoundBeast has….it actually looks better quality too while using OBS studio software…
