My only regret with these knives is that I did not buy them sooner. This knife set is the best I've ever used, they look amazing and are sharp as hell! Had them a few months now and they keep getting better. Highly recommend

The edge was not centered and it’s curve was irregular. It would not cut straight as is. I have experience making cutlery so I decided to make it right as there is plenty of blade to work with. The handle scales shrunk away from the tang and sharp edges were present. That being said, the design and balance is exceptionally good. The tempering is really good. After several hours of judicious hand grinding and sharpening with a multiplicity of abrasive stones and plates, it became one of the best cutters in the kitchen. It is not plain carbon steel. It is some kind of high carbon stainless steel. I found that to be a plus as plain high carbon steel discolors onions when you cut them, and gets oxidized itself rapidly. None of that was present. It did come sharp, but it was out of whack. It seems that an inexperienced or careless person ground and polished the blade. It has the potential to be a great vegetable and meat cleaver. This company needs to step up its quality control. There’s a really good blade in there if you have the skill and experience to bring it out. I really like it now, but I doubt I’ll buy another at this price ,since it required so much to make it right. 9/9/22 I just gave this another star. Once the blade is tuned, it cuts too well not to. It’s a pleasure to use. I just minced nine pounds of meat for sausage in record time with it. It’s still shaving sharp.👍

Nice and beautiful knives

A great looking knife with premium performance. The finish on the blade and handle is excellent. It came nicely sharp and after a quick wash, I put it to use. The wide blade made ease of use as a bench scraper to move the onions from the chopping block to the pot. Cleaving the chicken was a sinch since the weight of the blade was just enough to cleave. The knife is not oversize, like many cleavers are. The overall performance is excellent, and it is impressive in appearance. I prefer the high carbon steel used due to its edge durability. Maintenance is no problem for those that take cooking as an art. Not only a great addition to the essential knife assortment but can be considered as a go-to knife for multi-purpose. Very, very pleased with this product.

This is my favorite knife in the kitchen! Great weight, extremely sharp, looks nice. Hand wash only - dishwasher caused some minimal rusting. Be careful handling and storing it, as it’s easy to cut yourself with just the slightest mishandling. One of my favorite Amazon finds in a long time.

Nice item I like them

I had a $10 knife I bought from IKEA. The steel was too soft, so I bought this one. But it is absolutely as soft as the $10 one! Just slicing unfrozen meat on a plastic chopping board will blunt it and I have to sharpen it.

The handle has sharp edges which I will rework with a sander and polishing compounds. The materials appear to be very good overall and it will be a really nice knife after I finish. Still great value for $ spent. Update 1 week later: After spending several enjoyable hours fine tuning this knife I have some additional comments 1) The materials are excellent, the rivets are real bronze, the wood is a lovely smelling tropical hardwood that takes a Lemon Oil finish well, the steel for the Blade is extremly hard, and sharps to a razor edge.
