A long-awaited dream come true
I’ve wanted a Surface Pro for years, and when Prime Day rolled around, I knew it was finally time to make the move, especially at the lowest price the 2-in-1 had ever hit. I picked up the black color model with the Snapdragon X Plus, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage, and I haven’t looked back yet. My idea of an ideal laptop has always been something that truly fits in your lap, and the 13" size is perfect for that. I’ve used 13-inch laptops for as long as I can remember because they strike the right balance between portability and functionality and this Surface Pro keeps that tradition alive while also changing the game. It’s a laptop and tablet in one, and although the built-in kickstand is still something I’m adjusting to, the trade-off is more than worth it. Being able to use this as both a laptop and tablet with a responsive touchscreen has definitely been a unique benefit to get used to. The device is insanely light and portable, and it stays cool and quiet no matter what I throw at it. I have yet to hear any noticeable noise from it, which is rare in a device this powerful. To make it function more like a traditional laptop, I also picked up a few accessories: a matching Surface Pro Keyboard in black, Slim Pen 2, a USB to USB-C adapter, and a headphone jack adapter. While it wasn’t cheap to get everything, the overall experience has made it more than worth it. The standout feature is by far the battery life. Unless I’m running a heavy program or connecting to an external display via HDMI, the battery lasts longer than I ever expected. It’s genuinely impressive and easily the best I’ve seen from any laptop I’ve owned. My only hesitation lies with the ARM-based Snapdragon processor. On one hand, I love what ARM processors are doing for battery life and performance; just like Apple’s shift to silicon, it’s clearly the future. But not all programs have made the transition yet. I’ve been lucky that most of what I use is ARM-compatible, but a few programs I used on my old laptop just don’t work anymore. It’s a bit of a bummer, but I think I waited long enough that the majority of what I need does work. Overall, this Surface Pro has exceeded my expectations. It’s sleek, fast, ridiculously portable, and ready for anything I throw at it (ARM-growing pains and all).

Great as a second desktop and for sheetmusic.
I've been using this for about a year. I use it as a second desktop, and as for sheet music. Battery life is excellent. I can display sheet music at full brightness for 5 hours without recharging. With the 13" screen and attached keyboard and stylus (extra purchases), this was been a great computer for sheet music. I've had no issues with the Snapdragon ARM processor, except at least one program (TotalRecorder) doesn't generate windows very well and I've had to move to my desktop to use it. Everything else works very smoothly, and the battery life very long, and very little heat transmitted through the case.

Great Purchase
Hands down great product. This is my second surface pro only because my first one was so old it could not be update to windows 11. Honestly, I'm glad it couldn't because this one is much better than my old pro 4. Powering on takes a few seconds. The clarity of the screen is amazing, the smooth transition between apps no lags, battery life is amazing, and I dont feel any heat coming from the device. My biggest complaint is the keyboard sold separately. I purchased the keyboard and pen combo from Best Buy and it is very sleek feel, with a back light and is easy to use. Old keyboards from previous surface pros will not fit the new surface pro. The value is worth it. Not disappointed.

Not worth asacrifice...but great if you want the tablet/laptop experience.
I’m a bit torn about the Surface Pro 13. Overall, I enjoy the device—it's reliable and does what it’s supposed to do—but at this price point, the user experience should feel far more polished. There’s no real “wow” factor, and for a premium product, that’s noticeable. I’m using it with the Flex Keyboard and the Surface Slim Pen, and this is where things fall short. The stylus experience is decent, but nothing exceptional, and the pen and keyboard don’t always communicate well with each other. Connectivity feels inconsistent at times, which makes the workflow less smooth than it should be. There’s nothing fundamentally wrong with the tablet itself, but given the cost, you’d expect a much more seamless experience across the whole ecosystem. I like the device—it serves its purpose—but it doesn’t quite live up to the premium price tag.

The perfect mix of tablet and laptop
I wanted something I could throw in my bag without weighing me down. The platinum finish looks really sleek and modern, and it feels premium to hold. I love the built-in kickstand on the back. It’s sturdy and lets me set it up at the perfect angle whether I’m at a desk or working from a coffee shop table. The screen is gorgeous and super responsive to touch, which makes scrolling through websites or zooming in on photos really satisfying. It runs Windows 11 smoothly, it feels fast and ready for anything I need to do. It’s honestly impressive how much power they packed into such a thin device. But I do wish I could downgrade to Windows 10.

Microsoft Surface Pro 2-in-1 Laptop/Tablet (2024) – Perfect Blend of Power & Portability!
I recently purchased the Microsoft Surface Pro 2-in-1 Laptop/Tablet (2024) for my wife, who works in marketing and sales. She’s constantly writing reports, generating Excel spreadsheets, and analyzing customer data, and we needed something that could keep up with her demanding tasks. After using it for a few weeks, I can confidently say this device is a game-changer! The 13" touchscreen is sharp and responsive, making it easy for her to work on detailed reports and spreadsheets. The Snapdragon X Plus processor with 10 cores delivers smooth performance, even when running multiple apps or handling data-heavy tasks. With 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, the device has more than enough power to handle her workload without slowing down. One of the standout features for my wife is how well the Surface Pro integrates with AI to streamline her work. She’s been able to use AI tools for data analysis, report generation, and even customer insights, saving her hours of manual work each week. It’s truly enhanced her productivity in a way I didn’t expect. As for battery life, it’s outstanding. She’s able to work all day on a single charge, which is a huge plus since she often has back-to-back meetings and doesn’t want to worry about plugging in constantly. A couple of things to note: You’ll definitely want to get the keyboard and mouse (sold separately) to get the full experience of using this as a laptop. It’s incredibly versatile as a tablet, but when paired with the keyboard, it feels like a full-fledged laptop. That said, the keyboard and mouse are not cheap, which is something to keep in mind. In summary, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2-in-1 is an excellent choice for people who need the power and functionality of a laptop but want the convenience of a tablet. If you’re looking for something that blends premium performance with portability, this is the device to get. Highly recommended!

A display dud after about a month
I Purchased this surface only a month ago and it came with the wrong OS first of all. I then went to have my team set it up for a user and straight out of the box the display would come off and on. As we used the docking station to add monitors we experience the issue of it going off and on. We replaced the docking station and we followed the recommended troubleshooting steps: 1. Check for Loose ConnectionsEnsure the Surface Connect port and USB-C/Thunderbolt port are clean and snug.Try wiggling the cable slightly—if the display flickers, the port or cable may be faulty. 2. Test Without DockConnect the monitor directly to the Surface using a USB-C to HDMI or DisplayPort adapter. If the issue persists, the problem is likely with the Surface itself, not the dock. 3. Update Firmware and DriversGo to Settings > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Optional Updates and install all firmware/driver updates. Also check Device Manager > Display Adapters and update the graphics driver manually. 4. Try a Different Monitor and CableIf you haven’t already, test with a different monitor and cable to rule out external hardware issues. 5. Check Display SettingsGo to Display Settings and ensure the external monitor is detected and configured correctly (e.g., not set to "Disconnect this display"). 6. Run Surface Diagnostic ToolkitDownload and run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit to check for hardware issues. We were then transfered to Microsoft and the story continues with no resolution.
