I initially was skeptical about any carpet dry cleaner, but I am more than pleased with this product. After researching other brands I decided on SaniClean because I have chemical sensitivity. The alcohol-based formula wasn't at all irritating and as promised in the product description, left no fumes or overpowering fragrance. The instructions were easy to follow and it was easy to use. I was impressed by how far the product went. A little really does go a long way! I bought 2 15oz. pails and one pail cleaned my entire living room plus maybe a third of the master bedroom. The second pail took care of the rest of the room with enough left over to clean the smaller bedroom. I'll need a small amount of a third pail to clean my stairs and I'll keep the rest on hand for any spot cleaning I need to do. EDIT: No third pail necessary for the stairs! There's about a third of the second pail remaining and that's PLENTY for 14 carpeted stairs. My 2-year old carpet wasn't soiled (no before/after photos) but it had absorbed cooking odors and needed a refresh. After using SaniClean my home smells fresher and the carpet looks well groomed. Of course not having to wait hours for it to dry was a huge plus, and the money saved versus a traditional cleaning doesn't hurt either. I highly recommend! A few notes: After reading other reviews mentioning the product's tendency to clump, I bought a wire mesh sifting scoop to lightly and evenly apply the snow like you would a vacuum powder. The product is moist and some clumps still formed, but I pressed them through the sifter easily enough. The instructions recommend brushing the snow into the carpet after applying it and I'm sure a handheld brush would be fine for smaller spot cleaning jobs, but I bought bought a long-handled push broom because I needed to cover larger areas. Lastly, and this is just me being extra, I used a Grandi Groomer to give the carpet a once-over after I cleaned it. You'd never know the carpet hadn't been professionally done.

This stuff actually works! I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. I have two white and grey large area rugs. Usually, I take them outside in the summer and wash with soap and water, however, it is winter and they needed to be cleaned. I put on a liberal amount of this powder and gently worked it into the carpet. I waited thirty minutes and could not believe the difference! First, I vacuumed with the roller set to a low pile carpet, then I dropped it to the lowest level - bare floor - and vacuumed up the rest. I went very slowly. Then I looked at the powder that was getting vacuumed up and it was dirty! The carpets smell fresh and look clean! I ordered more to have on hand. I think the key to this stuff is to work it in the carpet and WAIT - give it time to work.

Worked well. Clean smell, a little pricey

I’m always skeptical about “miracle” cleaning products but this one is a must-buy. Works great and super easy. I had a large stain of unknown origin on my rug, blame the dog. It had been there for months despite attempts to clean it with other products. The rug is a Ruggable so it’s washable but too large to actually make that feasible. I sprinkled this on it, cheated a bit by rubbing it in with my feet and then scrubbed with a dry brush. Didn’t need to let it sit or anything. Vacuumed and the stain was gone! The photo has a bit of a shadow but trust me, the spot is no longer there.

I did a little experiment on my disgusting, neglected area rug I constantly spill coffee on. Left section, light mist of water and then brushed in the snow. Middle, no water or snow as a control section. Right section, followed package directions and used only snow. Vacuumed everything after 45 minutes. It actually got out a lot of layers of coffee and it smells a lot better. It would probably have done even more if I'd brushed it in a bit more thoroughly and put extra on the worst spots. It also wasn't fully dry on the misting side, so it might be better later after that dries fully, but I don't think it really needs misting anyway. Pretty good stuff. I'd never tried dry carpet cleaner before but I think I'll use more of this.

SaniClean Dry Carpet & Rug Cleaning Powder is easy to use, just brush it in, let dry, and vacuum. There was no chemical smell ata all as I’ve experienced with other powders and it has no harsh chemicals, so it’s safe for me, my family and our little dog too! I was surprised how much soil it lifted out. The powder was white when applied, and the powder vacuumed up was brown. It deep cleaned the carpet and left no odor or moisture behind. The carpets are clean, soft and fresh! I will use it again.

This is a good product. It did clean my rug. But if you have a heavy soil or high traffic area you will have to use little more product and elbow grease

Easy to apply and vacumn

I love this product. I have tried several ways to remove a dark spot. This is the only product that worked. Tough it is a very small container. It will cover a carpet that is perhaps 10 x 20.

I don't know how much is in the bucket but, it's very little. Not worth the money for sure.

Took away tiny spots. But did not clean bigger spots where we walk on the carpet. My carpet is 5 X 7 feet and one container is not enough to cover the whole carpet. At that price it is less expensive to buy another carpet. Especially that the carpet did not come out clean. Also the container is much smaller than I expected.
