We were a little skeptical about this tent but wanted something easy and small to fit on our friend’s campsite. This was perfect! Set up was quick. Started by putting the corded poles through the two main support chambers. Once both were in place, we slipped the tailgate sleeve over the Jeep, strapped to the tire and roof rack. Then went inside and opened the tailgate. Finished by putting the smaller corded rods in and done. It was perfect because we slept in the back on an air mattress with the seats folded down but we could have also put our belonging in the car and slept on the tent floor. Great options. We had enough room for back packs, personal item, a place to change and keep everything dry and bug free. We were a little warm at times throughout the night but mostly comfortable.

My family goes camping every year. Decided to try this since we were going across country and didn’t want to have a lot of luggage. This was really a great option. it was so flexible was easy to put up and take down, but in my opinion does require two people offered a lot of space and it had a lot of ventilation areas. The color was pretty awesome too, but it did attract a lot of attention.

The tent was defective. The zippers broke during the first use, and the straps tore the same day while setting it up. The product did not hold up to basic use and cannot be used as intended.

This is one of the coolest things I bought this year, it’s coming handy so many times and was perfect when my family went through RAGBRAI. It adds so much space and is also very sturdy. Perfect for anybody that plans to use their car as an accessory while camping And also was great in the rain. Be aware that you’ll need to secure the sides to your vehicle well to avoid bugs getting in, but as long as you check for that ahead of time, you should be just fine.

Although long enough to hold adults length wise the depth of this tent is not deep enough for an average adult to lie down so there is no way four adults are using this tent. It is too small but it is advertised as a four person tent. When you buy new tents they usually shed water on material like this for the first few times with not much issue but after awhile a tent without a rain fly tends to leak water and although it did not rain while we had this tent set up my decades of tent use tell me this tent will because this material is your average tent material. The poles are your average modern flexible tent poles and the zippers seem like they should be more heavy/durable. We were able to seal well enough around the back of our Escape but I question how it will hold during a storm or windy weather. The large awning is noce to get out of the sun but I question how the poles and it too will hold up to real weather. For using just as a tent without being hooked up to a vehicle I didn't like the whole cinching down thing in the back as it didn't seem water tight either. I would prefer a window to be there. Although setting up this was relatively easy I think I need to stick to with regular tents. I just don't need to get into my vehicle that bad without going out of my tent after all but that is me and I thought I might like the option when I ordered this. My biggest issue is for the $166.00 price tag is the fact only two people can just about fit in this thing so the value is not there for me. I think if you know the weather will be decent this could be used as a two person tent just fine, especially if you have the need to access the back of the vehicle ( maybe where the kids sleep?).

Worked well in rain and wind. Attached to our Toyota tundra with a topper. Easy to setup and easy to use as stand alone and reattach

Love this tent so far! Used it overnight so far and loved it. Set up was pretty straightforward. The only difficulty we had, it was a bit of a fight getting the 2 long poles installed as well as at breakdown. Just take your time, and it will work. It just gets bunched up and you gotta work in sections a little. I cant wait to use it in its full capacity for a weekender! I think the awning is going to be nice.

Love this tent once it’s up……. difficult to do alone the two long poles are much too long to do alone ……. The rest is not too hard to assemble even putting the part over the SUV tailgate…….once you get it straight it’s easier …….. I haven’t had it up in the rain yet but I did notice light through some of the seams and there are small gaps around the the surround around the car ….. looks great when all together!!!

It seemed bigger when I purchased. Not really happy with it. Looks it is going on shelf in the shed. Even to set it up, it requires more than one person otherwise a bit of a struggle.
