Beast of a knife. Not the sharpest out of the box but easily handles poultry carving. Beautiful, love this cleaver.

It seems to be sharp out of the box. Have a decent weight and sturdiness for chopping.

It's terrifyingly sharp out of the box and can definitely chop through bone, so use with extreme caution and don't place it at the edge of a counter where it could fall or something. I keep it stored in its box when not in use. I use this cleaver to chop up big tough cuts of beef, and it slices through it like it's warm butter. Feels very well built.
