The most Bang for the Buck!
I've paid more money and more equipment over 30 years that never performed nearly as well as this! You have all the right adjustments that you can make for your specific tastes and the remote is on your phone. I leave it on all the time and it automatically picks up the correct type of sound and goes to the right speaker. You can feel the base and create your own little bubble. My wife was not all that excited about it until she heard the difference for awhile. This is one of those times I've received more than I paid out for the system. The set up was flawless. I had purchased another system which was more expensive but I sent it back within 24 hours because I couldn't get it to set up with blue tooth and there was no Customer Service. Well spent money!!

Great value for the money.
I originally got the ultra-cheap (short) 2.0 version of this bar for small TV in our summer house and I was impressed with the quality. So I finally decided to replace my $600 Yamaha soundbar at home. I am super impressed with the quality and functionality of this bar. Volume normalization (DRC I suppose) and dialog enhancement is the best I've ever seen, and for the price this seems ridiculous. It works flawlessly via HDMI eARC with my LG TV and Fire Cube. The only negative I found is that it doesn't include a remote but it works flawlessly with both TV and Cube remotes so I don't think an issue. Additionally it's a nice touch that settings are adjustable via the bluetooth via the App - it'd be a hassle to change them otherwise.

Best value and sound in soundbars. Vizio is however very model specific.
I love this Soundbar’s sound, so much so that I replaced or acquired the same model for 4 other smart TV’s. For $159 for 5.1.2 it shreds a $2500 Sony 3.1. Works great with Sony, Samsung, and TCL, however with Pioneer, the TV often and unpredictably loses the sound bar and switches itself to internal TV speakers. It’s rarely used in the basement and mostly it’s the kids who don’t even notice the sound difference, so I haven’t had the inclination to debug it. The subwoofer makes the windows shake. The super long cables for the rear speakers plug into the subwoofer and are literally magnets for the robot vac’s that prowl the house. I swear they are programmed to always engage any wire or cable in sight. I find them doggedly trying to get around whatever obstacle I’ve put in place to stop them attacking the wires. Packaging was well constructed with thick cardboard and ensured a dent and ding free delivery. Setup was intuitive and relatively painless. I am still wondering what the HDMI Out does on a soundbar? I connected it to one of the only 3 HDMI In’s ports on the TV, but when I select it, nothing happens. No Signal. At the very least they should have a banner landing page and a GUI interface to the soundbar’s controls. When we got a new TV, I mistakenly thought I had found the best brand and Holy Grail of Soundbars, and bought a pricier Vizio with 225W that came with NO HDMI Out port and NO remote, only a QR Code link to download the remote app. It’s got nowhere near as crisp trebles or smooth base that this model features. If Vizio had a “Suggestions” box, I would recommend that they add a cheap but useful webpage interface to configure the devices. Functionality similar to routerlogin.net, if you’ve ever configured a Verizon home WiFi network away from it’s default settings.

Unbelievable Quality for Price
My home theater uses a now $600 soundbar with separate powered subwoofer from JBL, and this Vizio performs with higher quality in some aspects and simply expectedly less powerful in others. It is definitely AMAZING using it in my guest room and renders a similarly cinematic theater experience beyond expectations. While the onbard TV speakers are adequate, the tweeter and subwoofer punch from this unit are truly incredible and seem like magic to someone like me born four decades ago. Music is lively with instruments and voices clearly distinct, movies boom with bass swells from orchestra strikes or explosive action, and video games are quite engaging. The app is a little bit of a pain to setup, but once is enough and then easy to access; the numerous settings available are quite appreciated and make perfecting the installation easy. I especially like the height adjustment and the “clear dialog” mid-range adjustability, and that separate inputs remember separate settings. The review bot for my review wants me to talk about cord length for some reason, but that’s not really germane and kind of asinine.

No Remote, less options than 2022 model WTF?!
First of all, why isn’t there a remote, nobody should ever have to download an app or buy a remote separately with a sound bar. This is just absolutely asinine, asi-ten, asi-eleven, all the way up to asi-billion! Wtf kind of absolute stupidity is this, and the options are not great on the app. More of a way to try and sell us movies and other apps. Second complaint, this soundbar is an updated version of my older 2022 model. I bought the newer one for my parents because they loved my soundbar, the rear speakers have an option to play all sound through them. So those shows and Netflix movies that you can barely hear the dialogue, the 2022 model allows you to hear that dialogue easily and keeps me from turning my volume all the way up. It’s is the absolute best 5.1 sound bar system I’ve ever used. The 2025 one is great for cranking up and getting sound and bass, but you have to crank it up to hear dialogue on some movies and shows. 3rd complaint. The 2022 model also has an additional hdmi port that I directly hooked my XBOX up with. This one has no such port. Not sure why there are so many down grades with the newer model! Some positive notes. The sound bar attaches directly to the bottom of my Vizio tv with ease. Just use the provided screws and the soundbar slides right in. Like I said before the sound is great. Real clean and crisp. The subwoofer is smaller and easier to fit under my bed for great vibrations. But it does not seem to be as big as the 2022 model. Slightly Smaller sleaker speakers, sub woofer, supplemented shorter soundbar, simplify the space superbly.

Amazing sound and easy to hook up. Bought to go with my vizio 55 inch tv. Highly recommended. Very pleased with bass, midrange and treble. Easy to adjust tones to personal taste. Do not pass this one up. Great sound, great value, great ease of connection to tv. Simply great!!

THIS SYSTEM IS TOP NOTCH-5 STARS!!!
I just got Vizio 5.1 Soundbar SE surround sound system delivered today. The packaging was top notch. It was very easy to hook up. I read a lot of comment reviews before I purchased so I knew how to trouble shoot any problems that might arise. I followed the directions and there were no problems. It sounds amazing!!! My new Vizio tv sound is basically garbage. This new system is like you are in a small theater. It is that good!!! I give this 5 stars all the way around and applaud Vizio for making a compatible system for my tv. I strongly recommend!!!

Almost Perfect, lost features from old model
I had the 2022 model of this system and it was perfect for the price point. Great fidelity, super clear and adjustable. Had all the features I would've wanted. The only reason I upgraded was because my 2022 model after moving multiple times finally started to get a random buzzing in the right channel of the soundbar, which I'm particular about. When it comes to value, volume, fidelity and clarity, this new model is equal if not better than my old model. Sounds great, price point is the same, very happy there. My issue is the functionality that was lost from the old model. The old model came with a physical remote while this model did not. The old model also had physical buttons on the sound bar itself for control, which is also missing on this model. Sure, they allow you to control all the same features on their Vizio phone app, but it also requires that you make an account and agree to all their trash terms of service to use it. I'd rather just have a remote and buttons. Lastly you lose out on a lot of ports. On the old model, you had Optical, BT, eARC, AUX, and AUX VA, on this new model you ONLY get eARC, BT, and USB for some reason over AUX... This is a big bummer for me because I connected the amp for my Vinyl Turntable to my old system via AUX and now I have to find an alternative. Plus I preferred using Optical on my TV. I know fidelity wise, it's not as good as eARC, but I always had issues with eARC on the old system, and also optical is perfectly fine for a 5.1 system like this one. So far I haven't had any issues with the eARC on this system, but if that changes I will be returning it. My gripes are minor, and I still think this is a great value, but I am not a fan of losing compatibility and features.
