No issues with a proxmox host.
I was just looking for a replacement for my onboard nic. So far no issues. Recognized immediately by a proxmox host.

Nice and fast
Has been running rock solid in a PCIe 3 slot in an old Lenovo box and has been solid and reliable for OPNsense to use without fail. The NIC worked great with the FreeBSD based router OS, so drivers were already good to go. It is very nice to have 2 NICs only taking up one slot and this leaves my x16 slot open for other uses. I was able to test a full 2.5gbe connection/link and had no trouble at all. Great value.

Plug and play for both windows and linux
I got a chance try this on Windows 11 and FreeBSD. Both worked like a charm.

Faulty Card. DoA. Not real Intel
DoA. Does not work. No Link, No Link Lights... First card wasn't seen. Changed slot, card was seen but then failed and went disabled with Code10. Updated Drivers and rebooted. Then, no link lights, no link at all. Swapping from a working Real Intel 1G NIC to this one, Win 10, Ent. Note: THIS ITEM IS NOT A TRUE INTEL CARD. It uses the same driver set, but it is a fake. Unfortunately, this card was sitting new in the box for a while before I tried this install so Amazon return date is gone... I am a network engineer by profession, do not buy this card. Stick to known manufacturers.

Works great on Opnsense FW - 2nd for unraid
I installed this in my opnsense v17.1.5 firewall and it saw them right away. No need to install any new drivers, and my FW is now upgraded from 1gb to 2.5gb - used one for the fiber modem -which to be fair is only 1gb and one to my network connected to a 2.5gb switch.

Not bad for the price
It worked well when put into a Dell server and didn't have any issues, even though it is not an enterprise-grade chip.

Use it in an old server for OPNSense and haven’t had a problem with it in the year or so that I bought it. No complaints

Cuando llevas tiempo en esto de las tarjetas de red, te das cuenta que para 2.5Gb (y en especial para 10Gb), si no te quieres complicar y quieres compatibilidad unánime, eliges una tarjeta que use el chi I225-V (y el X550 para 10Gb) y te olvidas. Funcionan y punto. Si te quieres complicar, verás pronto que hay mil y un chipsets de 2.5Gb y no digo que todos sean malos, solo que en mi experiencia, al final es que no merece la pena. Compra esto y usa tu tiempo para otra cosa.

Out of the box działa z ESXi 8. Rozpoznaje go jako dwa nicki i226-V wiec bonusowo wygląda że dają już nowszy chipset. Z mojej strony polecam!

La scheda funziona bene, la uso da maggio 24/7 per il mio home lab e non da problemi con proxmox 8.4 Anche le specs sono corrette da quanto descritto, probabilmente ne prendero' un altra per un secondo progetto.

Ce Dual PCIe 3.1 2.5GBase-T équipé du contrôleur Intel I225-V est un excellent choix pour améliorer les performances réseau d’un PC, d’un serveur ou d’un NAS. La carte offre deux ports RJ45 compatibles avec les débits 2.5G, 1G et 100 Mbps, permettant une connexion rapide et flexible en fonction des besoins du réseau. Le contrôleur Intel I225-V assure une compatibilité optimale avec Windows 10/11, ainsi que les distributions Linux et TrueNAS. L’installation a été simple et rapide : la carte est reconnue immédiatement sous Windows 11 et TrueNAS Scale sans nécessiter de pilotes additionnels. Je l’ai intégrée dans mon NAS sous TrueNAS Scale, où elle fonctionne parfaitement en agrégat de liens (LACP) sur mon switch KeepLiNK 8 Ports 2.5G.
