Don’t buy the mini only the regular 10oz bags
Not good, only buy the 10oz bags. The 10 oz bags are really good. These minis are not good at all. My bag is as chewy and some really hard. For a freeze dry candy, they have not freezed dry these properly at all. The candy in my hand is out of the bag that’s the 10oz they are done right. The bag of mini is not done right.

Made from Skittles (NOT Sweet Tarts), great introduction to freeze-dried candy
Folks seem to be confused as to what candy these are derived from: it's Skittles, not Sweet Tarts. These are just CALLED Tarts Mini Crunch because, well, someone got a little lazy with the naming and now people seem to think the "tarts" signifies the candy these are derived from. Nope, these were Skittles, and now they're Freeze-dried Skittles. And if you've never tried freeze-dried candies, this is the perfect place to start. Freeze-dried Skittles are the perfect illustration of what happens in terms of flavor, texture, and form when you put a piece of candy through the freeze-drying process. Flavor: The flavor intensifies considerably as all of the moisture is gone resulting in what is essentially a fruity sugar cube with a little bit of candy shell frozen in place. The sweetness is magnified, so if you're expecting the same level of sweetness as normal Skittles, you're in for a surprise. These are the taste of a Skittle magnified by about 300%. Texture: I hope you weren't too attached to the chewiness of the Skittle's insides, because with all of the moisture dried out and exploded, these things are now ALL crunch. Form: That exploded appearance of the "mini tart" is what happens when the moisture of the insides have to go somewhere and then the sugar is left behind to reform and solidify. It's a cool effect. Kind of looks like Skittles and Popcorn had a baby. Popples? Skittlecorn? PopSkits? SkitPops? Skittilypoppopshoowop? Other vaguely scat-singing-esque names? Anyways, what really matters is, these are like eating a pack of super crunchy Skittles with their sweetness kicked into overdrive. Kids and adults like will love crunching them or just letting them dissolve in their mouths. They're really good. ***Overall Value*** All freeze-dried candy you're going to find on Amazon is quite a bit pricier than its origin candy (in this case Skittles) because the folks who make them have to buy the original candy, freeze-dry them, and then bundle them up in new allotments. So yes, they're more expensive than Skittles, but as freeze-dried candies go, a bag this size at $10 (at the time of review) is right on target.

Taste the rainbow without the sticky, chewyness.
Reviewing Freeze Dried Candy Crunchy Mini Treats - Mixed Fruit Flavor, I’ve never tried this type of candy before (freeze-dried) but I keep hearing about so decided it was time. As many other people have mentioned, it tastes like the rainbow, but with a completely different, light and crunchy texture. It has a mix of sweet and sour and is perfect for enjoying in small amounts, to stave off a sweet craving. There's no stickiness that causes them to stick to your teeth, nor is there chewiness that has the same problem. It's like a cheese puff, just in candy form. I’m sold, as is everyone in the house. I’ll now need to keep a fresh stock in the pantry. So, I’m not sure if that’s a good thing for a bad thing. The cost is high for the amount you get, but if everyone is only eating a handful at a time, it should last a little while. Rating 4 stars (deducting one star for price).

So so
These weren’t the best I think they used a cheap candy to start with and some of them didn’t get dried. I love freeze dried candy and gave this to my kids instead of eating it myself.

Lower calories & tastes like nerds!
If you know what nerds candy is, this is a less-sweet alternative. There's significantly less calories per bag than there would be in just nerds candy, and they kind-of taste similar. There's not much more I can write about candy, but I'm surprised it tasted this good, and I'd definitely buy it again. Your kids will definitely love this for Easter, so give it a try! Their candy doesn't all need to be chocolate and jellybeans, and the entire bag only has 110x4 = 440 calories (for the entire bag)! You could eat this in a day, while a popular brand like Skittles, Nerds, or M&Ms would definitely make you sick even on much smaller portions (2 medium packs of M&Ms have more calories than this entire bag). While candy tastes good, no candy is technically healthy, so just remember to consume it in moderation!
