I was worried about how flush this would be based on some other reviews. For reference I ordered this for a 2021 BMW 430i. Fits perfect and eliminates a dead space on the shifter assembly and creates something useful bmw should have. I’m not super worried about the flushness of the rear as there’s a hinge so by design it likely needs to be that way which in all honesty is negligible given how it enhances the interior from a utilitarian standpoint.

The colour and finish is not the same as the OEM piece this is designed to replace. The picture shared is from a 2022 i4 e40 and shows the newly installed piece with the OEM laying on top of it. Note the difference in matt vs glossy finish and the shade of black. Disappointed 'cause I was really hoping that this would look great and add functionality. Functions great and install was easy with the right tools - not the one that comes in the box. Start from the corner closest to the passenger floor mat and work your way clockwise around the unit.

Perfect fit for a 2025 BMW i4. Install took 1 minute. Use the provided tool to remove the original piece from the right hand side. You will hear a snap/pop that almost sounds like you broke it but it's just the original piece coming out of its position.
