Works great, easy to use & clean

I was sceptical but this machine had good reviews. It is good for grating softer cheeses like mozarella. The motor sounds like it is struggling but I reimnded myself this is not a food processor. It is so easy to clean, very stable when operating, and does the job. One thing I would have liked is a longer slicing blade so when slicing cheese it would then not shred the cheese while slicing. It is better than the others because the blade is permanently mounted in a holder. Other units require insertion of these cheaply made blades that have tabs to secure them in the blade holder. It will not last and it is not easy to insert blades into holder. This unit is good for cheese grating and slicing.

I had one of the old square manual graters and it broke when I was using it, so I figured if I had to replace it I was going to get one that does the work or me. This one works great. So far I have only used it to shred cheese, but it will tear through a block o sharp cheddar with ease. The opening to the top feed is a little too small to fit the whole block in (I get the large blocks) so I had to cut it in 4 pieces, but other than that it works like champ. Super easy to clean, all the parts can go right in the dish washer. No problems or complaints so far.

They could have use better quality blades on this shredder-just 0.2mm thick , did not hold edge after 5 months of light use , needs to be sharpen with file .I am not sure if that helps for long time.My old machine was in use for many years with no issues till motor died .This one -just 1 star.

I bought this to make it easier to finely grate 16oz of cheese for making pimento cheese. In order for the cheese to incorporate well with the other ingredients, it needs to be very fine. This machine doesn't quite get there. I gave it 4 stars because it probably works well in other applications, however, it does sling the grated product which, in my opinion, is a design flaw. Also, the feeder shoot is smaller than it needs to be.

Don't use it often the few times I have used it I have been satisfied

This is my second cheese grater I've purchased. I just started using it so I will review on the quality as of now. It's heavy duty and hooks on pretty tight. It's fast and so far I haven't had any issues. The only thing I don't like is that the base you put the cheese in is very small. I have to cut cheese squares small to fit.
