Ticks all the right boxes: portability, performance, and versatility.
5.0 out of 5 stars - Fantastic Portable Monitor for Gaming and Productivity On-the-Go I recently picked up the UPERFECT 2K 144Hz Portable Monitor (17.3 Inch, 2560x1440P) to pair with my MS Surface Laptop (7th Edition), and I’ve been blown away by its performance so far. As someone who travels frequently and enjoys gaming in my downtime, this monitor has quickly become a must-have in my setup. First off, the display quality is stunning. The 2K resolution (2560x1440) on a 17.3-inch IPS screen delivers sharp, vibrant visuals with excellent color accuracy—perfect for multitasking with work apps. The 144Hz refresh rate is a game-changer! Paired with FreeSync and HDR, I’ve noticed no tearing or stuttering, just buttery-smooth visuals for non-gaming tasks like video editing or browsing; the clarity and responsiveness make everything feel premium. Setup was a breeze—true plug-and-play with a single USB-C cable for both power and video (though I sometimes use the included HDMI for my older devices). It’s lightweight at just over 2 pounds and slim enough to toss in my bag without adding bulk. The kickstand is sturdy and adjustable, which is great for finding the right angle, and the VESA compatibility is a nice bonus for mounting if I ever want a more permanent setup. The dual speakers are a pleasant surprise—nothing audiophile-grade, but decently clear for casual use. For longer sessions, I’d still recommend headphones, though. There are a couple of minor quirks. The kickstand can feel wobbly on uneven surfaces, so I sometimes prop it up with something extra for stability. Also, while the brightness is solid (advertised at 400 nits), it’s not quite as punchy in super bright environments—like direct sunlight—but that’s hardly a dealbreaker for indoor or travel use. Overall, this monitor ticks all the right boxes: portability, performance, and versatility. Whether I’m grinding through spreadsheets or diving into a gaming session, it’s been a reliable companion. Based on what I've read, UPERFECT’s customer service also seems responsive, which adds peace of mind. For the price, it’s tough to beat this kind of quality in a portable package. I highly recommend it to anyone needing a second screen that doesn’t compromise on specs!

so far so good
Overall it's a solid monitor. 2k/144hz out of the box in Windows. HDR as well but has to be enabled in the menus on the monitor first. Works well with pc as well as consoles. I've only tested consoles up to 1080p/60. There's not a lot to say about the visuals. Everything looks good and as it should in windows and gaming. Sound is fine. Small speakers sound good enough for on the go use. There is also a 3.5mm audio jack. Full size hdmi port is a nice inclusion since most others use mini. USB ports support video but that's not particularly useful in the pc or the gaming spaces due to lack of widespread support. I couldn't get displayport to usb c to work with a bi-directional cable on this one like I could on the last monitor from the same company. I understand usb c is easy but I do wish there was at least a mini-dp port as well. In the box, it came with a couple of usb c to c cables and an hdmi cable that are pretty short but do the job. There's also a 20w power adapter that's the same as the ones shipped with older monitors. The magnetic cover has a better magnet this time so it sticks to the monitor better as a protective sleeve. I still wouldn't use it as a stand though since the monitor will slip off the grooves holding it up without much resistance. It also came with some vesa screws that fit the monitor which was a nice bonus. For now it's a 5 star item. I'm cautiously optimistic but time will tell. I had a 16in one from the same company that failed inside of 2 years. Replacement warranty is only 1 year but they do offer some limited support beyond that. Customer service is responsive.

Good OLED Monitor with Some Flaws: Flickering and Brightness Reset
This portable OLED monitor delivers great picture quality as expected, but it has a few notable issues. The most frustrating is the screen flickering when adjusting brightness—it eventually shuts off completely at 100%. Customer service was responsive (despite the time zone delay with China) and confirmed my unit was defective, offering a replacement. However, I opted for an Amazon refund instead. A few key things to know: - Hidden Samsung Origins: Based on my research, these appear to be refurbished/unused/repurposed Samsung panels. If you shine a light on the bottom bezel, you can see the Samsung logo (likely blacked out to avoid branding conflicts). Not necessarily a bad thing—just something to be aware of. - Software Quirks: The OSD works but feels a bit janky, with a slight learning curve for the navigation button. All settings save except for brightness, which resets every time you power it on—an annoying con. - OLED Burn-In Protection: The auto power-off feature is great for preventing burn-in, as it should be with OLED. - Color Calibration Needed: Out of the box, the colors were off (strange blue/egg-white tints). I used Amazon’s homepage on a secondary monitor as a reference to manually adjust them—highly recommend calibration. Conclusion: Solid OLED performance, but the brightness issues and hidden origins may be deal breakers for some. Proceed with caution.

Great companion monitor for a 17.3" laptop!
I got the UPERFECT 2K 144Hz Portable Monitor 17.3 Inch 2560x1440P Portable Gaming Monitor as a companion to my 17.3" Gaming laptop that is also 2560x1440p 165Hz for productivity when editing, browsing, or using multiple applications at once. In this respect I love this monitor as it is vey similar in dimensions to my laptop, and fits nicely in my laptop backpack. Pros: I like how it comes with a protective case that also doubles as a stand (more on this later). It works well off both HDMI and USB-C without issue, and it comes with 2 USB-C and 1 HDMI cable which is nice. The frame feels solid, but it is very light (great for travel!), and the colors are okay out of the box. (It seems to lean a little into the blues, but this can be adjusted in the monitor's display settings.) Neutral: The buttons on the monitor are clicky, but feel cheap, and I did end up working with customer service who shipped me a replacement as the original I received had a dead button that did not work or click and prevented me from using the down adjustments in the settings menus. The replacement worked perfectly. Cons: I really only have one gripe with this monitor and that is it does not save display settings once power has been removed and the brightness defaults to the lowest value when powered on. If you are just setting it up somewhere and and don't plan to move it at all so it is plugged in 100% of the time, this won't be an issue. It is a frustration for me however as I move from my living room to my porch to the bedroom and occasionally travel with it, so having to adjust brightness every time I go to use it feels clunky and unpolished. Final Thoughts: I am happy I picked up this monitor and see myself getting a lot of use out of it. I would recommend picking up a stand and u-adaptor for the USB-C/HDMI cables to help clean up cable management as shown in my pictures. I also picked up a right angle 2' USB-C cable to help with this. The stand it comes with works, but forces the monitor to sit on the table surface which is considerably lower than my laptop screen height. I picked up a black laptop stand to raise it to the same level of my laptop monitor and couldn't be more pleased with the setup. My customer service experience was positive. They are extremely helpful and eager to to correct any issues which is refreshing and made my exchange process easy (They shipped out a replacement and provided a return label to ship back the original unit). They are very communicative and reached out daily until the issue was resolved. Overall I would highly recommend purchasing from this company as they definitely support their product and care about their customers.

For artistic work on the iPad!
I mainly use this monitor for art, specifically figure and portrait drawing on my iPad. Occasionally, I also connect it to my MacBook Pro. This monitor works well for what I need. - Getting the correct aspect ratio on the monitor when connected to my iPad (3rd gen/11-inch, iPadOS 17.1.1) is a big deal for me, and this one nails it. I've had other monitors in the past where the images appeared squished up. - It's very portable. The folio case that came with the monitor is stable. I've tested it on both a desk and a couch, and it feels comfortable. I'm happily surprised that the monitor can be used and look decent without an external AC power source. - It retains Multitasking settings on the iPad. Unlike previous monitors I've used, which would reset to Screen Mirroring on disconnection, this one automatically remembers the setup, saving me from manually configuring it each time I connect. - The default settings create a decent image (probably good for movies), albeit a bit oversaturated in the red spectrum. I manage to adjust it to my liking for portrait drawing by turning HDR Off and setting PCM to Native or ADOBE (See the attached images). - I tried to watch movies in full screen, and tested a platformer game and both work great out-of-box! The speaker quality is a nice bonus—good enough for my taste. - The AC adapter can't be used to charge my iPad at the same time; replacing it with the one comes with the iPad does the trick. - p.s., Connecting it to a PC or laptop gets you additional options, including various color profiles, resolutions, and refresh rates exceeding 144Hz, although I've only briefly explored these features. - The customer support team knows their stuff and responds quickly. Overall, this monitor suits my needs well; it's solid, easy to carry, and reasonably priced.

Really good monitor, but with a firmware brightness reset issue
PROS + 2560x1440p resolution + QHD Ultra Wide IPS panel + 144Hz refresh rate + 400 nits + 2 x USB-C ports (will allow for 1 cable power/video if source can output) + 1 x HDMI port + Integrated speakers and headphone jack + USB-C and HDMI cables included + 100% DCI-P3 color gamut + 75x75mm VESA mounting with included screws + Power adapter included in case device output source can't provide enough power + Dual speakers + Kickstand has good tension with rubber feet CONS - Brightness resets to max on every reboot. OSD shows that it's still the level previously, but once increase or decrease and set value, the brightness is restored to the selected level. This happens either after changing refresh rate in Windows or turning the monitor on and off (including shutdown device source) OTHER THOUGHTS It's a really nice monitor with a very stable kickstand. HDR works great with FreeSync. Dual speakers are adequate. But having to reset the brightness every time I turn it on is a dealbreaker for me. A brightness of 3/10 is adequate for me to work. I'm often connected to an Anker C300 when traveling because I can't connect to the wall. I only need max brightness for very bright environments when working. There is no firmware update for this monitor so I'm returning it.

Perfect portable gaming monitor!
I purchased this monitor to use specifically with our Xbox One S. I plan on purchasing a new Xbox for Christmas to play on the TV but still want to use the old Xbox so that we can all play together. I also purchased a Mini HDMI Male to HDMI Female Adapter so that I could connect this monitor to my Xbox with the included HDMI cable. This monitor is 17.3" 2K with 2560 x 1440p high resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The monitor is very slim and lightweight. It really is plug-and-play, very easy to set up and use. As you can see from my picture, we do have to sit relatively close to the Xbox due to the length of the HDMI cord. In the pictures, you can see the portable monitor on the left connected to my gaming laptop on the right. You will notice that the colors are warmer on the monitor as I have enabled the blue light filter to minimize eye strain. I love that it has that option. You can also see the matte screen and how it reduces the glare from the flash on my camera. The image is very clear, there is no delay when plugged into my gaming laptop. I've also noticed that when plugged into our old Xbox that it loads in faster to games than my gaming computer. Very impressed with this monitor so far. I don't care for the magnetic case that doubles as a stand. I found it to be flimsy and the magnet is very weak for a monitor of this size. When used as a stand, it will gradually slide down and fall so that is annoying but if you were traveling with this device, I feel like the case would provide decent protection for the screen. I did contact UPERFECT about the stand issue. This company has amazing customer service! They respond very quickly and go out of their way to make sure that any issue you have is addressed. They sent me a new stand, which you can see in the pictures. The UPERFECT stand works great with this monitor as it has a 360° rotatable base, and it also allows you to adjust the monitor to a comfortable viewing angle. I couldn't be happier with the customer service I received and I know if I have any other issues with this monitor, they will take care of me. (Thanks UPERFECT!) Overall, I definitely recommend this portable monitor. The image quality is very nice, easy to set up with plug and play. Includes Freesync and 144 Hz refresh rate. Amazing customer service support! The speakers are okay for this price point and being a portable device. The cover/stand needs improvement, a stronger magnet is needed. Other than that, the button on the side to adjust screen settings is not super user-friendly and could be made easier if it had a remote or was touch screen.

Xbox Series S cannot power the monitor via USB C (from monitor) to USB A (to Xbox Series S)
Monitor works great. I use it as a travel monitor with my Xbox Series S. I'm able to run games at 1440p 120hz. However the Xbox cannot power the monitor by itself I was having issues with it staying on during certain games so I had to buy a USB C to C cable and brick to power it. After doing that the monitor is back to working 100% of the time without issues. The cables included all worked great and the stand in the back is very durable allowing for a lot of different viewing angles. I also bought a laptop sleeve like carrier for it. 4/5 stars with only one ding being power which is easily fixable.
