I have a 2012 Scion TC with 220K miles on it. Somehow I stupidly rode along a granite curb with both right wheels, causing major rim scraping and a flat tire. I thought I ruined the right side of my car. But, I replaced the tire for a reasonable price and had my car aligned. What really stuck out was the rim scrapes (more like gouges). The standard rim color for a black Scion TC is charcoal. But, the charcoal in this kit looked too dark. So, I matched the color on the included color chart with the wheels and it looked most like Dark Silver. I really thought this was going to look awful since I did so much damage, but it actually came out great! I just followed the instructions, taped it off, sanded with the sanding block, wiped it with the rubbing alcohol, repeated, and painted, and repeated that as well. I took off the masking tape a couple of hours later and voila! I won't says good as new, but from a distance, you can not tell there is damage.

This item i have tried it out on my vehicle and the rim doesn’t end up like it says it will. I was very unsatisfied.

Just got a car with really bad rim rash. Used this as a short term solution and it worked pretty good! Tough to get a perfect match but did its job. See before and after pics

It works and got the job done. It would recommend sanding a lot as it made the end result a lot better then my first attempt. My 2018 Mazda6 Touring rims are a tricky color so I bough the Dark Silver (right - what I used) and Anthracite (left - too dark) in the video attached.

First bought this in Anthracite as the picture looked closest to what I needed for factory Gunpowder colored 19 inch wheels on a U.S. 2016 VW Passat Rline. The color was NOT a match as the Anthracite kit was significantly darker. The color ended up being a good match for my wife's factory Anthracite 2018 Mazda3 colored wheels however so I kept the kit. I then bought another kit in Medium Silver and the match is spot on for my Passats' Gunpowder wheels. The kit worked well. Clear instructions, everything you need, quality paint, etc. Looks much better than curb rashed wheels. Just keep in mind it's a QUICK repair kit, you don't even have to take rim off. In other words don't expect perfection and you'll be satisfied with the results!
