If you are a foodie. Love the kitchen and constantly work on getting your rice clean. Or pasta strained.. this will be your best friend. This allows me to wash my rice , multiple times, without losing grains .

Too small for me but it wasn’t bad either. This probably isn’t appropriate for a big family so I am actually giving it to my son who is moving out soon. Probably more suitable for him.

I have a set of 3 colanders. They are made out of wire mesh. Every time I use them, one of them will stab me in a fingertip. After a couple of years of getting stabbed, I found this Gulex Colander 304 Stainless Steel 4-quart with Mixing Bowl, and it was a great purchase. First off, No Wire Mesh. This colander is smooth stainless steel with holes drilled into the colander sides and a matching mixing bowl that fits perfectly below it to catch any excess liquid instead of it dripping on the floor. Next, did I mention it was stainless steel? Completely dishwasher safe and no steel mesh to catch little bits of food so it has to be hand scrubbed before placed in the dishwasher. Just rinse, place it the dishwasher and go on with cleanup. Heavy duty, it will not flex when full of hot food. It looks small at first glance. In fact, because it comes in a 3-quart and 4-quart size, I thought I had the ordered the 3-quart when I first saw it. It looks small because it is not wide, but tall. It actually fits in my cabinet with no struggle. I am glad I made the purchase.

Excellent quality, perfect

I basically bought this to drain the ricotta cheese and make cannoli filling. I needed to leave the ricotta in the strainer and refrigerate overnight. The size was perfect but the strainer was as deep as the bowl and left no room for the fluid to drain out without being reabsorbed back into the strainer. This strainer does not work for anything you need to drain slowly or overnight. It may work for a quick strain if you manually hold the strainer up and let the fluid pour out the bottom but in my opinion you can use any bowl to do that. This strainer does not have a handle or convenient way to hold the edges for lifting so it would actually be hard to hold it up and pour hot liquid in. Additionally, the bowl was badly dented and appeared to be used as it had scratches on the bottom. It was poorly packaged in a plastic bag and not wrapped to protect it in shipping. I returned it as I felt it was a useless dented mess.

Es un colador sencillo pero muy bien hecho. El material se siente resistente y no se dobla como otros más baratos. Lo uso casi todos los días y sigue como nuevo. Drena bien y se limpia rápido. Compra acertada.

The colander with mixing bowl is of excellent quality. It is sturdy and easy to clean. The size is perfect for washing vegetables, fruits, or draining pasta, and the fine holes are ideal for soaking rice.

I like this combination for washing fruit and veggies. Makes it easy to strain out the liquid. The quality of the stainless is t great as they already stained in one small area after I used the bowl set for straining pasta. But the material is sturdy.

La différence entre le bol et passoire est trop petite. On peut mal faire égoutter quelque chose sans que le liquide dans la passoire. Dommage car semble de qualité
