Easy to set up and read
My child and I wanted to measure the rainfall for an atmospheric river event that we were going to have and this was easy to set and use. It records in inches and the numbers are large making it easy to read. We don’t experience hard freezes, so I can’t comment on if it’s freeze proof or not - but it worked well for our purposes.

Busted
A previously ordered this the same item and it was guaranteed not to freeze or burst, and it did. It burst in the snow/ice storm. Other than that, it was fine. I did not see where you could just order the gauge itself. I had to order the whole frame and everything.

This rain gauge is NOT freeze-proof.
This rain gauge is NOT freeze-proof. It worked well in spring, summer, and fall, but failed during our first hard freeze. I was disappointed with this outcome since the description clearly stated that it was freeze-proof.

Robust and good size for young forecaster

This was the wrong product not suitable for Australia, it read inches instead of millilitres. Tried to return it but was too difficult to understand the instructions due to accent so am stuck with it

Very nice rain gauge. Can you used on the included stand or mounted with a screw to a post, etc. Nice large visible numbers so you don't have to be right beside it to see the volume contained.

It is quite a big unit, but it holds a lot of rain and is very easy to see when it has rained from a distance away!
