PROS - I plugged it into my laptop and was pleased with how quiet it is, even with all fans on. The buttons are responsive and easy to understand. The lights are fun for gaming or night use. The two tabs that flip up and hold your computer did a good job with my HP Pavilion 14". Also, one thing that wasn't advertised but that I really like is - it feels kindof magnetic! So your laptop is clung to, making it even more safe from slipping. This cooler is wide, ngl, it does stick out about an inch on either side of my laptop, so make sure your laptop stand has space, unless you're using this for a stand. The fans are very cooling, haven't tested them on when my computer is super busy, though. CONS - When I tried to use this as a stand, the "kickstand" leg cracked right off when I was unfolding it. It seemed very flimsily attached, cheap plastic. I am not sure if the thin metal bar that moves up and down to make the stand taller or shorter, could hold a very heavy laptop. Also, the + and - buttons that control the fans, for some reason say "6" on full-range, even though there are 8 fans. Weird.

I recently purchased a 12 year old Lenovo ThinkPad laptop. These old workhorses are awesome but they do produce some serious heat! So, the best thing is to pair it with a good laptop cooling pad. This one by Ice Coorel has 8 cooling fans. You can operate it with either the top or bottom 4 fans separately, or set it to use all 8 at once. You can also set the speed of the fans so that the noise level is easily controlled. I personally am using all 8 fans and the fan noise is still not bad at just a hair above a whisper. The cooling effect on the laptop is great although the laptop still generates considerable heat. All in all, for the price, this cooling pad appears to be well built, operates on a USB cable, plus provides an additional USB port to make up for the USB port used for power on the laptop. You can elevate the rear for better air movement. It also has a swing out arm to support a cell phone if desired. Nicely designed. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

The pad definitely makes your laptop cooler, but the fans don’t put out that much airflow even at the highest speed. The plastic is cheap and broke in less than one year. The metal bar is flimsy and bent as well. It is quite large overall, although the horizontal bar is nice for sitting it on your lap, it is stable and comfortable. The stand holds the laptop fairly well, but the laptop can still slide horizontally fairly easily. It was less than $15 in October of 2024 and is definitely not worth more than $30 now!
