System MTN and APX Complete Men's Snowboard Package : Featuring System's MTN snowboard designed to float in powder, power through trees and still handle park laps for day, this thing is a powerhouse. Then we added Systems APX bindings, a leightweight performance driven binding that will excel your riding. Finally we added System's comfort focused APX boots to build a complete snowboard package that can take you anywhere on the mountain! System MTN Snowboard : Starting with the all new CRCX camber profile, the MTN is a rocker dominant "camber-rocker-camber" profile which greatly increases float in powder and elevates your contact points to ensure you never catch an edge. The small cambered sections in the nose and tail only engage when you tell them to, and create explosive pop for ollies and jumps. The MTN then received a major core upgrade with their all new 3D core! this ultralight core centers around tip to tail Poplar wood with two high density stringers running just outside the center of the board. Then an artisan grade heartwood stringer is placed down the center of the board to create one of the most powerful and explosive cores on the market! A twin design makes this board at home riding regular or switch. System APX Bindings: One of the lightest binding, the APX offers unparalleled performance. It has an absolute wish list of features. Full length EVA base pad. Either-Or toe strap that can be ridden toe cap style or over the forefoot. Gel insert contoured straps. Inside routed ladder straps, Aluminum 4 tooth ratchets, 15% fiber inclusion in both the baseplate and the highback, anatomically correct footbed! APX Boots : Simple and classic styling allows these boots to optimize features like metal hooks for superior lace hold and lasting power. Combined with the newest tech like the Thermofit heat moldable liners for customizable fit and an articulating cuff for smooth flex, you just can't find a better quality boot. Great Package for a Beginner
Beginner level here. We'll start with the board. Board came as presented on the website and it handles very nice. The board does not come detuned- meaning, all the edges around the board are sharp. To get the board ready for snow, the edges on the tip/tail must be filed off to make them dull. Otherwise, you risk the possibility of your tip/tail catching on to something if you were to lose your balance, for example. I ended up going to a ski shop to ask how to exactly detune the board. The video below does a good job depicting what needs to be done. At the shop, they just grabbed a file and filed it off with no additional work and it handled fine. On the video, they go through some extra steps, which I guess is user dependent. [...] Bindings- they're of "OK" quality. I YouTubed how to properly place them on the board and it was pretty straight forward. I suggest you do the same as a beginner. They did their job and kept my feet on the board. However, after a couple of runs, one of the release mechanism (Lever that you pull to release the strap) extensions broke, which made it harder to release my foot after a run but it still works. Boots- True to size, comfortable and easy to walk in. I say this board is a great buy for beginner levels. Definitely a step up from rentals. Beats waiting in line and after a couple visits to the mountain the board practically pays off itself with the money you would've used for renting. I gave this a 4/5 stars due to having to detune the board and the issue with the binding. Suggestions: - YouTube before doing anything with the board or go to a ski shop and ask - Buy a stamp pad (Basically its a pad with a sticker) you stick it on the board and when you deboard the ski lift you place your rear foot on it to give you a grip (You will only have your front foot strapped to the board- your front foot leads the board off the ground once on you get picked up by the ski lift and leads the board to the unloading area). I placed my stump pad just to the left of my rear binding.

It’s a decent board
This is a pretty good board that I’ve been using for the past 3 years and everything still works. I get it sharpened and waxed once a year and it’s good. The only thing I don’t like is the laces but if that’s what you prefer i personally don’t. Try to find a pair of boots with the button to help adjust your boot instead of laces so that your foot is more snug.

Edit: TRASH!!!!
Edit: After the second day, the laminate has come off the bottom!! The pro at the tune shop said this board is trashed, worst he’s seen in fifteen years. He saved the day by calling in a complimentary rental. Lesson learned trying to save some money and get a deal… you get what you pay for! I had all the name top brand boards and gear in college/twenties when I was active in the sport. Some injuries and starting career with responsibilities made me reconsider the hobby. This was ten years ago. I sold all my gear five years ago. Decided this winter to get back into it, with a more mature mindset of taking it easy. Generic rentals are $75/day. Opted give this a try. It’s overall great value for the occasional rider! I was aware of the reviews regarding the buckles/straps. They aren’t bad at all, just a little lightweight compared to top brands. I think when you get off the lift and go to dock, take a second to straighten your straights versus kicking in your boots, and it will go a long way.

Served me well on 2 trips so far
Just started getting into snowboarding - this served me well on two trips so far, one in Alaska and one in Japan. Seems sturdy and perfectly functional for a beginner. For the price I couldn't find a better deal at the time and I'm happy with it.
