Good headlight, battery life average
The good: - Received the 1100 boost in the 900 boost packaging. I'm not sure if this is a labeling issue on the packaging or on the light. - Comes with a mount that works with your bars. You can make it work for a helmet but you are better off purchasing the helmet mount - Plenty of modes with variable light output - Charges quickly - Relatively light weight - Boost mode is great for a race scenario or short ride The bad: - Battery life on boost mode is 35-45 minutes at best. Running on the lower mode is the only way to get a full ride in. Lower modes still offer enough light for most riding Light Comparison: - 1100 Boost vs Acrunu 4 Led VS Acrunu 5 led. - The only other light I have is a 350 lumen Serfas that is quite outdated - Subjective feedback: The 1100 boost has an excellent spot. Very bright and very far throw. There is some flood around the spot but it is not significant. I highly recommend this light for a helmet, but as a bar light it might be too much of a spot. - LED color: Very white

Excellent headlight that is bright and long lasting!
This headlight is incredible! On low it is so much brighter than my last headlight which was very good in COMPLETE darkness in woods on a bike trail. On its brightest setting I think you could land a plane with it!!! The daylight strobe is bright enough to see it reflect off signs and markers at a long distance with ease in the light of early evening. The longest I've had this on light/strobe is about three or three and a half hours and it was still going strong. These days I generally ride with a daylight strobe pattern on all the time to help insure I'm seen. I've not done a longer time with it on low solid yet, but have no doubts it will be great. As the season winds down and the daylight hours shorten, it will get a steady on test very soon. The mount is solid but it does spin around on the handlebar while on the bumpier roads and has to be rolled back up to point forward. Maybe a piece of old grip tape under it will do the trick. It does take around an hour or hour and a half to charge after a longer use. I no longer use a wireless computer and it does not interfere with my older wired computer or the Wahoo Elemnt Bolt that I use. Wireless bike computers usually go wonky next to LED lights and is the reason I went to a wired computer in the first place. I'd recommend this light all day/night long!

Great quality and withstands all weather conditions.
Great durable construction that will last through all weather conditions. Very bright and can be seen from far away. Also has the ability to set different brightness levels, including blinking light. No tools required to attach to your handlebars and has a sliding lock so you can easily remove and put back on (I slide it off when going into stores; theft proof). Lithium battery allows you to easily recharge. No need to buy batteries.

Excellent but with caveats
NightRider was the first. I’ve stuck with this brand since the 80’s. They’re bright, rugged and do fine in a torrential downpour. My micro, however, did not survive the wash. Nightrider lights generally have Rube Goldberg style mounting hardware. This is true of this model, but is a different style. I could not get it to hold firmly. Fortunately I had another mount from another model in my junk box. This may not matter to most, but this appears to be an older model with a micro USB charging port rather than the newer versions with a USB-C port. Still, I love Nightrider in general, and will continue to stick with them, but recommend spending a little extra for a better model.

Unrepentant dishonesty by Amazon
I ordered a replacement for my bike light which was stolen. I received a Lumina 1000 Boost in an opened 900 Boost package. I returned in exchange citing wrong item, and got a different 1000 Boost also in an opened 900 Boost package. Had I been asked about substitution I would've been fine with a 1000 in unopened package, but I paid for a new item & have no way of knowing if the 1000 I received had been returned previously. Both packages were opened & contained a 1000 Boost, meaning someone made the decision to send a different potentially defective product and hope I wouldn't notice. Returned for a refund, I'm not willing to put up with repeated, flagrant & unrepentant dishonesty like that. On the flipside, I called Niterider customer service who was able to get me set up w/a refurbished 900 Boost & a replacement part for a taillight mount. The 900 Lumina Boost is a terrific light, great visibility for me to see road conditions & for drivers to see me. The battery charge lasts a long time, my previous light saw me thru commutes at all hours, downpours, & potholes deep enough to shift my gears and half-open my kickstand. Never had a problem, never came loose, reliable bright light every time. The 900 is currently out of stock on their website but the Niterider rep I was speaking with expected it to be back in stock in a couple weeks. Tldr: incredible product if you can get past the dishonest & reprehensible fulfillment to actually get what you ordered. Buy direct from Niterider instead, give your money to a company who has standards & genuinely cares about your experience

Great for nite riding.
I have a no-name brand mounted to my handlebars but wanted a name-brand light to back it up & this light does it beautifully. Easy operation, and simple to find the button even with gloves on. Battery life is pretty good, and built quality is excellent. I wish the form-factor was more sleek like a lot of the off-brand, and big dollar makers out there, but being that it’s on top of my helmet I don’t mind it too much. Shame it isn’t USB-C, rather it’s micro-USB. Oh well, I have plenty of those cables kicking around still! Good light. Buy one!

Works great MTB helmet-mount. Fast charging
I use this for Minnesota back-country off-road cycling, so I don't know why Amazon wants me to rate it for "commuting". This light is sufficient on it's lowest-level brightness for my forest adventures. I use it for 3 hours at a time, and there is plenty of charge left when I'm done. I mount it on the top of a spare helmet, and it's excellent. Works great at -25°F, or 95°F, rain, snow, etc. I really like that it can unclip from it's mount easily, so I can take it inside, or use it hand-held. A great feature is that the mount will "give" if you hit something, so it doesn't break. Just notch it back straight, and you're good-to-go! I'm always impressed how fast this light charges. Thinking I need to let it charge over-night, but it's done before I go to bed.

Very bright, easy to use.
The NiteRider line of lights is very easy to install and provides a lot of light. I use it mainly for light, as opposed to using it to make my presence known to cars - I find that the light is so bright that using it on flash is very distracting for me and the cars. I use the light a lot and I do find that the battery degrades after 50-100 charges and it is frustrating that you can’t really buy a replacement battery. But for ease of use, reliability and brightness, this light is an excellent choice. One tip - to turn the light on for the first time you will need to hold the button down for what seems like a long time. Don’t assume it doesn’t work if it doesn’t turn on right away. It is shipped in a locked mode.
