I bought this valve, knowing it was more expensive than others. I really hoped that it would be durable and last a long time. After 2-1/2 months, I noticed it was leaking considerable amounts of water out of the left valve (not the hose connection). I looked into contacting the seller and it was not an easy process, so I gave up rather quickly. It should have been a good valve, but it wasn't for me. Maybe they will see this review and get in touch with me. Edit: the manufacturer stood behind the product and refunded the purchase. I could not ask for more. Parts sometime fail, customer service should not and did not in this case.

I bought a plastic hose splitter. It leaked. I bought another plastic hose splitter. It leaked, too. So I said to myself, "This time, I'm going to buy a metal hose splitter." This is the one I bought. I've had it a couple of months now, and it hasn't leaked. It feels satisfyingly solid. It works fine. I mean, a hose splitter isn't a complicated piece of machinery, there shouldn't be any problems with it, but as I've found out, that isn't always the case. One minor criticism: When I first installed it, the individual (left and right) volume switches were stuck in place. I unstuck them by tapping them gently with a hammer. Since then, they turn just as they should. I only wish this wasn't made in China.

The quality of material and workmanship of this brass garden hose splitter with on/off valves is very good. Valve operation is smooth and positive. Hose end fittings are strong and well machined. No leaks.
