Does the gears actualy moves or not?

Will turn because the mechanical gears will rotate with each other

What is that piece at 6 o'clock? Does is turn or move? Or is it stationary? (I can't tell from the pics, but, it looks to be the same in all)

The watch broke on my after about 2 months. Sadly, it wouldn't set any longer...the stem was so stiff I took it to a jeweler, who said, "This is a cheap watch. It's made in China, for heaven's sakes." I guess that meant he couldn't fix it.(It did) So, I'm left with a dinosaur, but...to answer your question, I'm quite certain that piece didn't move on the watch.
