You can: - Wash rice and easily drain water - Wash vegetables (enough for 1 person). Especially for vegetables like lettuce. - Marinate. I marinated shrimps with this. - And more Also, it's very easy to clean. Highly recommended.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is an excellent small colander! The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because I purchased it for washing raspberries for my morning cereal. It is just large enough to hold a half pint of raspberries, but there isn’t enough room to shake them gently under running water. If you are only going to wash half a pack at a time, this will be perfect. Otherwise you will need to wash your berries in batches or go with a larger size colander. I repurposed it by bringing it to work and using it to sift the salt and dust that collects at the bottom of the cashew canister from the last handful of nuts. Works great for that!

I eat a lot of grain and wanted to begin washing it as reading about how it’s stored and the dust contamination. This works pretty well. No issues and it’s super easy to clean. I like that I can also soak the rice for certain meals like biryani.

Simple design but incredibly efficient. Makes washing rice easier along with other foods that require cleaning. Could be used as a vessel for just about anything. The product is also cost effective.

When I received this I thought that I had made a stupid purchase. The packaging was breached and there was a red stain on the strainer bowl. But I washed off the stain and thought I'd try it for a few days. The first day I used it at least 5 times while I made soup and other dishes. I used it for rinsing lentils, washing and culling fresh herbs and veggies, draining pasta, etc. It fits easily between my colanders and is much lighter weight than a ceramic bowl. This is actually worth the price to me since I do so much prepping and cooking at home. It is extremely practical and well designed to save time and energy while preparing food.
