SIL-Poxy - Silicone Rubber Adhesive - 3 Ounce Tube

The best solution i found to fix a silicone mold that had torn. It fused all parts flawlesly. Highly recomended for rubber or silicone molds that need repairs.

Strong! I had a tear in one of my silicone hand, and this stuff makes it like it never happened. A must-have for silicone props and masks.

There's not a lot to say when a product does exactly what you'd hoped, so this review is going to be short and sweet. It repaired tears in two pieces of silicone that were tearing. If you're familiar with silicone (which I assume you are since you're reading this) you may know that tears just keep getting worse with silicone, if left unattended. This completely repaired the tears (which were extensive) and saved it. I'll be honest, despite the other good reviews I didn't expect it to work, and if it did, I didn't expect it to last. It has been months now, and there's not a single sign of the tears re-opening -- this product is awesome.

I bought this because it was the cheapest thing I could do to fix my silicone items. I figured this was going to use the ENTIRE thing but very little did A LOT of work. This glue has fixed my silicone quite easily and is holding strong regardless how rough I am with them. I have to say that this is very good stuff but wish it came in a smaller package. I plan to try to use it on many other things that need to be fixed and can use the Sil-Poxy easily.

Absolutely THE WAY TO GO if you are trying to bond polysiloxane (a.k.a. silicone) to itself. Cure is within minutes. This product is fantastic for prototyping. This product is for people who have a firm grasp of what they are trying to bond.

I’ve always struggled making props with silicone and trying to find viable ways of adhering them to anything else without damaging my silicone or having items tear. SIL– poxy made it insanely easy to affix silicone pieces to just about any kind of fabric. I’ve already gone through one whole tube, and purchased two more since then. The adhesion is strong, the items have held up well in my washing machine with both cold and hot water, and I stress-tested the h311 out of my items by running them through the dryer several times, leaving them out in the heat, testing different solvents and chemicals to see how they would hold up and the SIL-poxy managed to hold up extremely well under all the conditions I subjected it too. Smooth-on makes incredible products all around!

I feel a little bit like a fool. Silicone adheres to silicone - you don't need this. Even to fix silicone molds which is why I got it and how it was "sold" to me. This smells and behaves just like the big tube silicone - pretty sure it's the same stuff. I can't speak to this for sure as I am not a silicone expert, but to me, this feels like clever marketing. Way too expensive for what you get, but it is marketed like it is special silicone adhesive. AND it did not do anything special when fixing a mold, which was the reason I purchased it. Live and learn. You can fix your molds with 100% clear silicone ... you absolutely do not need this. At least I learned I didn't need it. Feeling ripped off. Smooth-on has great products which is why I trusted the people telling me about this stuff. And maybe there is a use case I'm missing.

I got this product to help do repairs on a silicone mask I had purchased. In some spots I used it, it is basically stuck there. On others, it falls off with relative ease, and leaves these funny little pseudo-skin flakes. I’m guessing it had something to do with the mask also having baby-powder on it, but it’s kinda hard to do anything with the mask without using baby powder. I don’t think it’s a bad product by any means though. I just think I need to ask the person who recommended it to me for some additional guidance. I do feel it worked better overall than other silicone glues I have used in the past.

I was looking for a good adhesive to bond and repair a silicone tear. This product seems to be strong enough though a bit difficult to keep surfaces of the tear close together. That is not a fault of the adhesive. The original material won't stretch as much but is satisfactory in my case.

I was looking for a silicone to silicone adhesive & Silpoxy was recommended by most internet searches. Pleasantly surprised that this was available on Amazon.in. This glue works perfectly & gets a very good bond. It’s quite expensive but there are hardly any alternatives. I wish the seller should provide an option to buy a smaller size to test out for potential buyers who may want to test this first before committing.

😩It is a waste of money.

This item is great adhesive and works very good. It's a bit expensive but if you don't mind flexibility then it can be mixed with other silicone rtv adhesive to increase the volume of glue and it still adhere very well. For best results the surface needs to scratch with fine sand paper and cleaned with IPA. My project is completed with this and without it I might need to buy silicone primer like silanes. I am happy that this product exists. Thanks.
