First of all it is Bose so you are getting a great product with excellent sound quality. I am usually pretty picky about the quality of the sound but I purchased this for the man cave garage and I couldn't be happier. I didn't buy a receiver that specifically went with a Bose so the sub isn't hooked up completely correct but it still works great. So I am here to say that even if you don't buy a 5.1 surround sound receiver it can still work and put out great sound. I will definitely be buying a correct receiver but for the time being it works great and will get me by. The setup is very simple, you literally unbox it and set the speakers where you want them and run your cord to the receiver. There isn't much you can screw up.

It's cool that Bose gets such sound from these tiny speakers but I have a couple of disappointments... Why does Bose do their annoying non standard crap? A couple of screw holes in the speakers would mean that you wouldn't need to spend 40 dollars per speaker just for a mounting bracket. Only Bose brackets work with the new speakers! Arrrrgggghhhhh!!! Again with custom non standard speaker connectors. The speaker cables come with connectors moulded at each end. Great until you need to run the wires behind sheetrock. I needed a hole bigger than 1/2 inch!!!! Massive holes instead of a small hole that would be fine for "normal" speaker wire.
