Expensive but works
This is deceptively good. I was sceptical about an inflatable cushion but we were waiting on the NHS OT to come out and fit my mother who was immobile for a pressure relieving cushion and this was fantastic. You do have to check the level of inflation every few days although they say every 2 weeks but in my experience you need to do it more often. My mother never got any pressure sores and found the cushion very comfortable. A tip is to put a towel or pillow case under whoever is sitting on it as a bit of extra comfort (as you don't want them sitting on the plastic? it's not plastic but it's not fabric material) It took a few goes to get it pumped up right but if you listen carefully you do hear the pop they talk about in the instructions so do keep pumping until you hear it. The pump is really easy to operate once you get it attached to the cushion. It is expensive but really did a good job for my mother. Very good for people who are not able to move around and have to spend long periods sitting.

Super item so glad I bought it
This is a great pressure reliever as a cushion or to lay on. Easy to inflate. With its own pump that it packs away into. Tough too, and it does not lose its air over time as some cushions do. Quality product

Just because it's researched doesnt mean it's good.
Bought this on the recommendation of a nurse. Can only assume she's never seen it before, because it is cheap flimsy plastic that feels like it might burst at any moment. As a person with chronic pain in my hands, enormous pump/casing was difficult to use. Sitting on the cushion was okay though I cant say it did much, and it is slidy. It does not come with a cover either, so bear in mind if you're buying for those who struggle to stay upright. When I tried to repack for return, I also found that it's incredibly difficult to deflate, even when trying to follow the weird symbol instructions on the tube. I couldnt get all of the air out and roll it the way it told me to. Honestly I can only assume the reason this costs so much is because somebody put money into a study to prove it helps. While other cushions cant say the same. My next stop is the Vive air cushion, which looks a lot sturdier and has recommendations from a bus driver in the reviews. My walking stick is from them and it's good quality, so if you were disappointed with this, I'd recommend having a look at that one (at the very least is has a case). Will update here when I have that one. Edit: Vive air pillow has now arrived. Quality is far superior. Feels like it was actually built to last. Standard hand pump and cover included. Certainly makes things marginally more comfortable to sit on, and the air will move encouraging blood flow. Plus it's only £30 at the moment instead of the £84 I paid for the repose.

Better than NHS product
IS more comfortable than the NHS product we had. The edges are softer and the whole thing is softer and less harsh. Expensive for what it is but it does the job well. More supportive and more comfortable than just the chair.

Useful
Comes with pump to inflate initially and does require some topping up. Does the job itself meant to do, not quite arm chair seat size, could do to be a little larger avoid Gaia around the edge of chair

Not as good as ones already blown up
On one corner where the pump is is hard and uncomfortable to sit on the ones that come already blown up are better

I am a quadriplegic. I sleep in my recliner this cushion has allowed me to be very comfortable I sleep well no aches or pains when I get up in the morning. I also like that it fits in my wheelchair. I also like that it is light and easy for me to move around. It is a bit expensive but worth the money.

Nothing gave my daughter relief in the hospital icu after she got a saxral wound before getting her liver than this cushion. They were trailing it and anything else they tried made her cry in pain. This is the only cushion/seat that she could tolerate. We bought two more after we got home. We use them on the chairs, wheelchair and car.
