I was looking for a pure vitamin C serum for anti-ageing benefits, however I also suffer from melasma and mild pigmentation, and when I saw the this one which had a "vitamin C" in its name, the price was good, and had an additional blend of active ingredients I thought I might as well try it. I'm glad I did. To begin with it is important to note that this is not a pure vitamin C serum, rather it is the vitamin C based skin brightening serum. The difference is that a "pure" serum, prioritises the most potent form of vitamin C for maximal anti-aging and collagen benefits, while a "brightening" serum provides a more balanced approach to overall radiance and evenness, often with better stability and less irritation for the user. "Pure vitamin C serum" likely uses L-ascorbic acid, the most potent but unstable form, while this vitamin C skin brightening serum uses a more stable derivative and a blend of brightening ingredients. Based on the listed ingredients and the way the skin feels post application this serum appears to be of a good quality. The 30 ml bottle is quite a good sizing considering that only a drop is needed to generously cover half of the face, so depending on the frequency of use, this will last for quite a while. This serum has a mild and pleasant citrusy smell, a light, yellow, milky consistency and is easily absorbed. In my case, the skin is left feeling soft and well hydrated which some might mistake the feeling for greasines, however I'd disagree. From the very first use, I felt it brightened my skin and gave it additional glow. It also reduced my melasma and improved my skin texture. My pigmentation spots are still visible but I feel like they're slowly fading away. I experienced no adverse reactions or irritation, however, this product does contain alcohol and fragrance, so it may not be suitable for everyone; be sure to check the full list of ingredients. Overall, this is an excellent skin brightening serum suitable for all skin types, at a bargain price, which I have no hesitation in recommending.

Brightened my complexion nicely. Not to thick, good absorbing and moisturised. Slightly sticky at first but let this put you off. Give it a minutes before your moisturiser. Dark spots fading and dullness. Have noticed this within a days of using. Plus great value for money too. Nice size to travel with, a little goes a long way.

So far so good! A little goes a long way. I generally suffer with breakouts when trying new face creams, but not with this! I’m guessing the nozzle is only small because you really do not need a lot, it smooths over your face easily & soaks in well, it doesn’t sit on the surface like a foundation. It’s also ever so slightly tinted, which gives a lovely dewy glow. It doesn’t completely cover any marks or spots, but gives you enough coverage so as to cover up slightly. I’m on to my 3rd tube in 12 months, so 1 tube lasts me approximately 3 months, not using every day, but most. So for the price, it’s perfectly manageable!

Like all Garnier products, this is a great quality product. Dont believe all the hype, there is no magic formula in any advertised item. Like all products it 'helps' so definately better than nothingcat all but not a magic potion that suits everyone. I like it but it, just remember everyones skin is different. (Point in case, my partners skin wwnt red stingy & blotchey, it made mine soft shiney & smooth. Overall I would buy it again, but its not for all skin types.
