Didn’t work with our TV

We lost the original remote for our DVD player when we moved and this one hooked right up and works great. No problems so far.

I had made the mistake of leaving batteries in my original remotes and as you can probably guess they leaked. I tried cleaning up the leakage but I was still unable to get the old remotes to work, so I figured I would try a universal remote as a replacement. Kinda take care of the multiple dead remote issue with one unit. Even though both my TV (a Vizio) and the Blu-ray player (a Sony) are name brand units and not very old, they did not appear in the list of manufacturer codes provided. So I had to go through the process of letting the remote try to seek out working codes on its own. It took forever and even when I found somewhat working codes the remote still only works half of the time. While I had hoped for an easy solution, my hopes were dashed on the rocks of reality. If you can buy replacement remotes for your originals then do it or buy a much better quality universal remote.

Works pretty good. Kind of a lag between pushing the button and the tv responding compared to a normal remote but it does still work

I hesitantly bought a Sanyo DVD player (w/Blu-ray) from a thrift store and it came with no remote. This DVD player is connected to a TCL ROKU TV. I purchased this item and was surprised it worked! I followed the instructions and was able to easily setup this remote to my DVD player. Buying the DVD player and this remote was definitely cheaper than buying a new DVD player. Looking at this remote's instructions, it appears to be compatible with many devices!

*Updating Review. This was what I thought to be a perfect remote until I tried to use the "return" button. Instead of just backing me out of the screen I'm in, it takes me completely out of the app and back to the home screen. So if I'm watching a trailer and hit the "return" button to watch a different trailer, nope, not happening. I'm back to the home screen and have to click on the app to get back in. I had a remote years ago that did that only in Hulu but this one backs me out of all the apps on my TV. I'll keep this remote and use it for my DVD player but I'll be getting a replacement Samsung remote for my TV. Okay, I admit it: I'm a remote snob. The buttons have to be in the right spot. They have to have the right feel and they have to be raised just the right amount. The remote has to be easy to set up and it has to be able to work on everything with no hassle. It has to feel good in my hand and have the right texture. Told you I was a snob. This remote is Perfect! I had it set up in less then a minute. The buttons are perfectly placed and they have the right feel to them. The remote has just the right amount of texture so it doesn't just slide out of my hand. The person who designed this remote knew what they were doing. If only TV and DVD makers would hire people like that. Then we wouldn't end up with tiny remotes or remotes that you hit one button while meaning to hit another because they're just in the wrong place. You know what I'm talking about. :-( No, I didn't get paid to review this remote or get the remote free. This is an honest review for a fantastic remote.

I purchased this remote to use with a Roku TV and a Sanyo DVD player and when I got it I was pleasantly surprised at how many options there are for compatibility with the remote. It was easy to set up with just a few clicks of buttons and every button on it works perfectly. It was a good price and the size was a little bit on the larger side but I didn't mind that cuz it made it easier for us to find which is constantly a battle with remotes.

They can count on this remote. Its compatibility is great and it is easy to use.
