I use these when I suffer from acid indigestion. Unlike the general consensus that acid reflux is caused by too much acid, I believe the opposite-that it's caused by too little. (there's a whole book dedicated to this subject called 'Why stomach acid is good for you'. Worth a read. Anyway, I take these if and when I suffer from acid indigestion and they sort the problem. I also take them with protein meals to help with digestion. Others have said that they smell and taste awful. I disagree. The taste is a bit 'zingy' (but this is only a momentary thing if you don't like zingy) and the smell-what smell? I have a good sense of smell (in fact probably my strongest sense now I'm going blind and deaf 😂 (old age)) and I can't smell anything. Now going to order some more 👍

The product did arrive it was collected, but I think the person at the shop made an error. The product is good and reasonably priced.

Effective but hard to swallow. I suggest throwing on top of your yougurt so it goes down smooth. I've had much less acid reflux after eating since I started on these. Will buy again. They do don't taste great but it's a moot point because you shouldn't chew them, as they can damage tooth enamel. The tablets contain the ingredients to make the acid, so don't worry they won't burn a hole in your sphincter!

I have had trouble for years with Burping and it was that bad I was having Palpatations and thought i might have a heart condition as my chest was thumping every day. I took these and my stomach feels calm and my chest problems have gone! Cant believe how much a difference these have made to me, I 1005 recommend them if you have alot of "gas". They might not work for everybody but i hope they work for you if you try them.

This is my second bottle of these tablets. I started taking them last year and then stopped as I was ok. Had to start again this year and great results quickly. For anyone with low stomach acid, digesting protein can be a huge problem as it tends to sit in your stomach for ages. I could burp 4 hours after a meal and it was gross! No more burping, no more uncomfortable heaviness in my stomach. Do your research though, to know how many tablets to take.

Made my stomach issues worst.

These pills made me really sick. I’ve been taking Betaine HCL for a while, but from a different brand. Since the ones I usually buy were out of stock, I decided to try these ones out. After 2 or 3 days of taking them I started feeling really really nauseous every morning and having to wake up in the middle of the night because of the discomfort the nausea was causing. I stopped taking them and had to return. Went to the doctor and everything because the nausea lasted over a week. I don’t know if these are super strong or what, but I just know that my body rejected them and I’m a person with very low levels of stomach acid, yet I felt like these ones were too acidic.

I did a hair based intolerance test that I also bought from amazon. I did the test for fun but it showed that I was imbalanced in a few things. Pepsin was one of them. When I looked into it, a lot of the symptoms of imbalanced/low pepsin was what was making my life miserable. Constant indigestion, chronic fatigue, seemingly constant protein deficiency. I bought these to test, and my god. My life is brighter now. I can lay on my right side. I can eat anything I want. The tablets are a bit powdery and MASSIVE so only 4 stars
